About this property

Luxury suite w/ private bath; only 1/2 block from the Inn at Little Washington!

Come relax in our quintessential Victorian farmhouse, circa 1885. We have owned our home for 25 years and hosting guests is our passion! The town is full of walkable delights: art galleries, shops, restaurants, and a nearby path where goats, sheep, and llamas roam. Ours is an IDYLLIC spot for experiencing an historic village while visiting the countryside!
When we are not traveling, breakfast can be arranged on weekends. Please provide prior notice.

Our hosts couldn’t be friendlier, and we could look out of the window of our room and see into the dining room at the Inn at Little Washington.We got great recommendations for other local attractions and dining nearby.Room has a small fridge and a Keurig coffee maker in it, perfect for keeping your wine or snacks cold, or having a private cup of coffee to wake up in your room.

Wonderful Shenendoah Retreat!

We visited Veronika’s property on a stop to Shenendoah and had the most amazing time! She was very helpful to provide recommendations around town and the check in process was easy. We had no idea that Washington VA had such a beautiful historic downtown, so it was a huge plus to be able to walk to the bakery in the morning and explore. We would definitely stay here again!

Charming as can be

Veronika and Jeff’s place is so beautifully decorated and charming as all get out. I absolutely loved the aesthetic of the home, and my room was just precious. I stayed in the suite upstairs and it has an en-suite bathroom and plenty of space to spread out. The shower was great. The bed was great. The location was great. Everything was great. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Beautiful accommodation. Kind and Helpful Hosts.

Loved the setting in a small town within 30 minutes of Old Rag Mountain (popular hiking spot). The hosts were so helpful with info on dining options in the area and in towns within 10 minutes drive. In this very town, there are restaurants within a few short blocks, including a delicious bakery/coffee shop. Accommodations were perfect. The room and private bathroom were immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Loved the Kuerig and supply of coffee!!! And lastly, had an amazingly specially prepared breakfast by the host which was the highlight of the stay. My only regret, is that I did not take a picture!!!

This property was listed as a Bed & Breakfast. One of the reviews i read raved about the breakfast so we were looking forward to enjoying this yummy breakfast. When we checked in we were told there was a water situation in the town which would prohibit making the fancy b-fast which was unfortunate timing for us. Veronica told me she put fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, juice & milk in our refrigerator in our room. There were 2 yogurts, 2 large muffins, OJ, milk & lots of water bottles in our refrigerator. The only “fresh fruit” were 2 small bananas on the table by the coffee maker. We could not feel the “AC” but luckily there was 1 tower fan in the room. This fan kept the room cool enough to sleep. When we returned to the room on our 3rd & last night the fan was missing. I inquired as to what happened to the fan & was told the guests in the downstairs room complained about the temp in their room so they took our fan out of our room & gave it to them without informing us of this situation! Heat rises so our upstairs room was as warm or warmer than the downstairs room would have been. This is Virginia in July so every room should have had a ceiling fan and a floor fan (or 2 floor fans) to keep guests cool & comfortable. The WiFi worked great but we had no cell service for phone calls home. We also could have really used another multi plug on the door side of the room for the 2nd guest’s electronics. Veronica & jeff were very friendly & informative about the holiday events.

Hosts were very friendly . Room was a mess. No TV. No screens on any window. So no fresh air. No doors to bathroom and the shower was in the bedroom area. The place was shabby and old and dirty.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Washington, you've found it! This was an absolutely lovely place to stay for us as a base for kayaking on the Shenandoah, hiking Old Rag, and visiting Luray Caverns. The hosts were so kind, thoughtful, and generous. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch to have dinner and breakfast, and chatting with the hosts about things to do in the area. They also gave great area restaurant recommendations. The room is very quiet and comfortable. Check-in instructions were clear and easy. And we really appreciated the weekend breakfasts that we were provided with our reservation. Truly a relaxing place to stay. I cannot overstate how great this place is!
