On cool coastal evenings, curl up in front of the fireplace and read a novel. You can listen to the waves crashing in the distance from everywhere, even the bedrooms.

The home's oceanfront location is truly phenomenal and perfect for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. Walk right down to Hare Creek Beach to spend a day in the sand, or simply relax in your own backyard oasis. During the migrating season, you'll even be treated to whale sightings! You'll be a short drive away from antique shopping and beer tasting at North Coast Brewing Company in downtown Fort Bragg. For the real adventurers in your group, there is horseback riding on the beach with Ricochet Ridge Ranch and hiking at MacKerricher State Park. Wonderful Family Trip

My family recently stayed at Windrose and had a wonderful time. The house is stunning, with amazing views of the waves crashing on the rocks and small beach. It was very spacious for the four of us (including two older teens) yet felt very cozy. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything easy to find. We saw whales from the deck and assorted sea birds soaring overhead. Our family enjoyed hiking at Van Dam and Russian Gulch state parks, as well as exploring Fort Bragg and Mendocino. This was such a memorable trip and we cannot wait to return!

Beautiful Oceanfront Property

My daughter and I had the best weekend at Windrose. Aside from having an amazing oceanfront location, this home was very clean and comfortable. The landscape was beautiful and peaceful. The accommodations, comforts & location of Windrose made for a perfect getaway. We enjoyed the Fort Bragg Whale Festival and the Mendocino Botanical Gardens while still having plenty of down time to relax & whale watch on the Windrose deck. We also appreciated the clean, organized kitchen. We ended our evenings playing games and watching movies by the cozy fire. Thanks for sharing your beautiful spot on the Pacific Ocean with us. We look forward to visiting again.

Windrose - March

This was a great place to stay overlooking the river/beach. The house was modern and had great bonuses (the master bathtub with a view was a big plus). Close to town but away from any noise other than the waves on shore. As a runner the streets and trails along the cliffs were a huge plus. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location to friends. (one note, the double chair on the cliff belongs to the neighbor and not this house).

Coastal Retreat Amongst Majestic Redwoods: A Serene Haven with Panoramic Ocean Vistas

Nestled atop a picturesque cliff overlooking the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, our recent stay at this vacation rental property was nothing short of magical. The first thing that struck us was the expansive ocean views that greeted us from almost every corner of the house. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property, we were enveloped in a sense of tranquility and awe-inspiring natural splendor. We were impressed by the architectural marvel of the large family home, constructed entirely of rich, warm redwood. Not only did it blend seamlessly with its surroundings, but it also exuded a rustic charm that instantly made us feel at home. From the spacious living areas to the cozy bedrooms, every corner of the house felt inviting and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat for our family. Of course, one of the highlights of our stay was the expansive ocean views that greeted us from almost every room in the house. Whether we were gathered around the fireplace in the living room, preparing meals in the big, well-appointed kitchen, or unwinding on the large outdoor deck, the mesmerizing sight of the ocean never failed to take our breath away. We loved spending time in the spacious kitchen, cooking up delicious meals with fresh, local ingredients while soaking in the stunning views through the large windows. The outdoor deck was another highlight of our stay. Stretching out from the house, it provided the perfect spot for enjoying morning coffee, al fresco dining, or simply basking in the warmth of the California sun. And with easy access to local attractions and the charming town of Mendocino, we were able to explore the area with ease, discovering hidden gems and creating lasting memories along the way. In conclusion, our experience at this vacation rental property was nothing short of magical. From its serene setting amongst majestic redwoods to its panoramic ocean vistas and well-appointed amenities, it provided the perfect escape for us. We can't wait to return for another dose of coastal bliss. Highly recommended!

Location and Views!

This house more than met our expectations. The views out the floor to ceiling windows was absolutely breathtaking. The location of this house was perfect. We were close to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, te ocean and the cove. The house was very spacious, yet it was also warm and cozy. Thank you for sharing your house with us. We hope to be back.
