About this property

Cozy & Colorful Cabin at The Woods Resort (pet friendly!)

Get away without going far at our cozy, colorful, family-friendly cabin. Watch the sunset over the woods from the deck, cuddle up by the fireplace, or play ping-pong in our games room. Do some work in our office space overlooking the trees. Enjoy golf, pools, the spa, hiking and fishing, or explore the beautiful countryside of rural West Virginia. Best of all, our cabin is less than two-hours drive from D.C. and Baltimore, so you can feel like you're far away without a long drive.
The space
We designed this space to be bright but cozy, perfect for families or groups of friends to relax and have fun together. On the main level, you’ll find a bedroom with a full-sized bed, plus a bunk room with a twin over full bunk and a twin over twin trundle. There's also a spacious kitchen and dining room, living room, and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. There’s also a separate office space where you can get some work done while you’re away. From this floor, you can access the screened porch and deck overlooking the woods. Upstairs, you'll find a loft bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. We've converted the detached garage to a games room, complete with a ping pong table, darts, and a custom built-in bar. There is also a firepit and outdoor grill for guests to use.
Guest access
Guests have full access to all of the amenities of our cabin, plus use of the community fishing and hiking trails.

Guests may purchase one-day pool/gym passes from us at cost for $6 each. Please request passes at least 24 hours before you need them. Guests ages 4 and under do not need a pass to use the pool when accompanied by an adult. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult when using the resort facilities.

Guests can also golf at The Woods Resort or use the spa for an additional fee (please visit the website directly to book a tee time or spa appointment).
Other things to note
We only accept bookings from guests with government IDs on their profiles, so please make sure you've uploaded your ID before requesting to book.

Please note that the 9th bed is a trundle bed under a twin that might be most comfortable for kids.

Let us know at least 24 hours in advance if your group would like to purchase additional pool passes.

Adult Family Vacation

A very nice house off the beaten path but close to lots to do. The pool was great and hiking is very close by. A great location for day trips to Skyline Drive, C&O Canal bike trail and Gettysburg.

Wife’s birthday get away

I had a surprise birthday weekend planned for my wife and a couple of her friends. They loved the house and all the amenities that came with it. Very clean and comfortable and close enough to Berkeley Springs but far enough to really enjoy the countryside.

Amazing Stay!

We stayed here for our wedding and honeymoon, and it was perfect. There was plenty of space to host 11 people for dinner the night before the wedding and dinner after the wedding. The game room in the garage was a huge hit! The amenities were all we could ask for, and my husband and I truly had a relaxing time during the honeymoon portion of the trip. I would definitely stay here again! The host was very quick to respond before and during our trip!

A very nice break from the hustle

First off, the hosts were absolutely tremendous during the booking process, leadup, and during our vacation stay. Very responsive, thoughtful ideas, and executed flawlessly any requests we had. The house was exactly as shown in the pictures, clean and comfortable. It provided a needed relaxing atmosphere while still having amenities for family activities. Ping pong, bar area, gaming sessions, fire pit, pool access at the local club, etc. Definite recommmend for a relaxing family getaway.

Great, fun, spring break getaway!

2 teachers needing a break from reality came with my parents and our daughter! It rained the entire time but even with that we loved it! We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub that come with the perks of staying in “The Woods” community. The gaming garage was great and we played ping pong and darts daily! The place is super clean and organized and communication with the owners was easy and quick! Loved the fenced in yard for our dog! Would highly recommend as we would love to come back in warmer months!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at this property! The house is very inviting and welcoming. There is a wonderful view of the woods/nature via the large deck and screened in patio. (It was great to be able to bird/nature watch while enjoying a meal in the screened in patio ;) The set up of the house is great and very open feeling. Having a jacuzzi tub, beautiful views, and a fun game room definitely helped in making it a super relaxing and fun place to stay! We are already considering going back, it was such a great trip/property!

Fun and comfort

This cute and colorful house was perfect for our needs! We greatly enjoyed the property, which was clearly able to handle family groups. We were also able to put Garage converted rec room to use as we were there for a family event and it stormed! So our grandkids had a great time with ping pong, darts and hanging out there. We purchased pool passes and enjoyed the indoor and out door pools. It was ideal for us to have the master suite on ground level. We also loved the pet friendly environment as "Fido" could stay comfortably as well. The host was very responsive, as we had to contact them regarding confusion at the Community Center desk. They were able to resolve the confusion quickly. We had a great stay! We would definitely stay again.

Perfect getaway

We absolutely love this area of WV and this home was a perfect, relaxing place to get away from the city. Great place for our dog as well, the yard is fully fenced in - there’s a little triangle under one of the gates where a very small dog might be able to dig through but our shiba was well-secured and loved sniffing and running around the yard. Beds are super comfortable and TV set up is modern with all your streaming sites. Beautiful, well-stocked kitchen. My favorite part was the spa tub, I made use of this several times during the stay, best tub I’ve ever come across. Our favorite part of staying at the Woods is the pool - definitely request some passes! There’s also tennis courts, hot tub, indoor gym at the fitness center, all very well appointed. This is our second time staying at the Woods community and we will definitely be back!!

Cozy fall getaway

We had a wonderful weekend stay for my birthday! My husband, two adult sons and our daughter-in-law and our pups. The cabin is so beautiful and cozy and we had everything that we needed and more. Comfortable beds (clean soft bedding and pillows made the beds very cozy), very easy to check in, nice big kitchen with all appliances and dishes we needed for cooking, cute decor gave it a homey feel, a fenced yard for our dogs was very handy, and a garage with darts and ping ping table. We had so much fun playing games in there! Unfortunately it rained all weekend but that didn’t damper our fun. Next time we stay (we’d love to return!) we will enjoy the deck and screened in patio and explore the area more. A perfect place for a family gathering! (The only thing I was disappointed in was that I was searching for a place with a hot tub and this property was listed as having one when I did my search. There is not a hot tub, it is just a jetted tub in the bathroom not a hot tub that multiple people can gather in together. It should probably not have hot tub in the listing because it’s a little bit deceiving.)

At The Woods Resort, you can feel like you're away from everything and surrounded by nature while still being just a short drive from shopping and restaurants, and less than 2 hours from D.C. and Baltimore. I love the two outdoor pools, one indoor pool, spa, two golf courses, fishing lake, and hiking trails. Our family feels totally relaxed at our cabin in the woods, and we hope you will, too!

We bought this vacation home with another couple as a fun, relaxing place where our families could escape and connect.
