I hate to give the outstanding rating as more people may want to book and I am selfish and would like it available any time I need it. You will enjoy this home!
Beyond comfortable, wonderful communication with host Jennifer did a great job making is feel at home. Will stay again as often as possible. Great book of info on the area, and things to do. Great neighborhood.
We had a wonderful time visiting family and friends. Our host was awesome. VRBO didn't update the calendar so when i emailed the host to see if we could check-in early she rushed to the property and made sure it was ready for us! There were toys for the toddler, the dogs were welc9me, and the neighbors were really nice. The place is near the forest and several hiking trails with an easy drive to the 101.
Will absolutely stay here again.
This place was very much as described very clean and plenty of space for two plus a dog. The owner was very responsive to our questions/concerns. Our only complaint was the heating because it was cold at night (high 20s low 30s) and the only heater and thermostat were in the living room. While the beds were very cozy and comfortable, having the bedroom doors closed meant those rooms did not benefit from the heat. Small space heaters for the bedrooms would be a huge plus.

Just touring
Property was excellent inside. Discovered the laundry late but didn't need it. The title of Europe in the Redwoods is misleading since the property is not in the Redwoods. That's no "biggy" but I understand about marketing. For our needs it was just fine and we really appreciated finding a nice place that was dog friendly. We'd come back.
Nice little apartment in the outskirts of Eureka. The neighborhood was nice and very quiet at night. We brought our big dog and there was an empty lot next to the 4-plex that was conveniently located for her potty needs. There was also a feline ambassador for the complex that made himself at home if the door was opened. He was super friendly and got along with our dog. We like to cook when we stay at a VRBO and this kitchen had everything we needed. Bed was comfy, lots of towels, the heater was efficient and once we got the TV working we felt right at home.
I slept so well here! Sooo quiet could even leave the windows open. Felt very safe. Friendly neighbors.
Comfortable queen bed.
Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dinnerware, utensils etc.
Slight old food odor but didn't notice it except on first entering the house.
It is a small but cozy house. Located away from noisy downtown which was perfect for me and my friend.
We had our dogs with us too. Easy to walk in the area but no yard for them which was ok for our needs.
I would definitely stay here again!
The host failed to send us a welcome message with the door code. The host was impossible to contact directly by message due to VRBO software issues or by phone (calls went directly to voice mail and the mailbox was full). We requested that VRBO customer service contact the host and they were also unable to contact the host. After calling customer service repeatedly without any resolution, we requested a refund and returned home. It has now been 3 days and VRBO has still not acknowledged our issue. Apparently it is not possible for customers to contact the appropriate department by phone or email. We are totally unhappy with the lack of response from VRBO and the host. Apparently customer service doesn't have the authority to resolve issues.
