Cool historic home, walk to Greektown or the Riverwalk

The Beaubien house is a cool place to stay, walking distance to Greektown and the riverwalk, and to lots of bars and restaurants. Also walking distance to the people-mover that can get you all around Detroit. Area feels safe, though with a bit of a homeless-presence right outside. House is great and comfortable, not the luxury of a modern place with all en suite baths and King beds, if that's what you're looking for, but this place has more character. Lots of stairs if that's an issue (it wasn't for us).

Great location to explore the downtown area. River walk and access to the People Mover were excellent. Grocery store nearby. Fun to be in such a historic building. Great seating area looking out to the Ren Cen.

Perfect for downtown events

Clean, beautiful, and well-appointed building, ample bedrooms, and comfortable common areas. Was a short walk to the arena and a few minutes walk from entertainment, food, and stores. Will definitely look here first the next time we're in town.

Hidden Gem

We didn’t know what to expect in downtown Detroit but this was a wonderful home with great architecture and updated decor. Our party of 7 had more than enough space to enjoy our stay. We were only in town one night for a concert but wish we stayed longer. The only downside is the noise outside the front bedrooms can be annoying. The host was also wonderful to work with.

Really great place

A fantastic historic property right downtown. Beautifully decorated with some ornate touches, very comfortable and enjoyable. The others in our party used the four bedrooms and I slept in the bunk bed which was very comfortable. Walked to the Tigers game and back, walked over to the river. Parked on the street in front of the house (metered, paid). Complimentary coffee, soft drinks, cold water were a nice touch. Great outdoor patio. Clear and easy entry instructions. We had little time there other than to lay our heads, we wish we'd had more. And we wished the walls could talk, I'm sure they'd have some stories to tell. Thank you Ed!

Excellent Property We Highly Recommend It

The Beaubien House is a gorgeous property right downtown Detroit and it’s walkable to everything you’d want to see in the downtown core. The house is incredible, it’s absolutely huge and just stunning as it’s a very old historical property with high ceilings and a TON of room. Our contact for the property is named Ed and he is OUTSTANDING when it comes to making you feel welcome and taking care of his tenants. If we could give Ed 10 stars we would, he is extremely thorough and genuinely cares about his renters - I have stayed at a lot of properties and Ed is the best owner we have ever met! We hope to rent this property again in the near future, the entire experience with Ed and the Beaubien House was fantastic. 10 stars- 5/5 - 100% Outstanding property. Outstanding owner. Book this place.

The house had plenty of room for the 8 of us and the location is perfect for walking to the multiple sports stadiums, restaurants, and Greektown. Check-in is very easy and there's surface parking and garages nearby. I will definitely be coming back here for future stays in downtown Detroit

The Beaubien House was the perfect venue for our needs surrounding our son’s wedding at the St Peter and Paul Church and reception at The Highlands in the Marriott Renaissance Center. Ed was a pleasure to work with, being timely and receptive to our requests. The gathering spaces on the first and second floors, along with the bedroom spaces on the third floor were perfect. Overall an amazing space with history and functionality. Thank you Ed!
