Welcome to Grandpa Boyd and Grandma Lois's house aka BoLo.

Updated with brand new air conditioning and central heat, fast fiber optic internet, and kayaks available for adventuring on local waterways.
Things to do near Bolo--up Little Wood River Road is hiking, camping, fishing, water sports and all around beauty. Eight miles over the hill to Picabo, ID sits the famous Silver Creek known for some of the finest fly fishing in the country and has beautiful gin clear water. If skiing or mountain biking is your thing, then head over to Baldy Mountain and Sun Valley Resort.
We are within a few hours driving distance to some of the best National Parks, Craters of the Moon National Monument, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park. Not to mention quite a few state parks--City of Rocks National Reserve, Castle Rock State Park, Ashton to Tetonia Trail with the majestic Mesa Falls, Henry's Lake State Park, Lucky Peak State Park, Thousand Springs, Malad Gorge, and Shoshone Falls.
Our little town is nestled in between the Sawtooth, Pioneer, and Lost River Range Mountains with Borah Peak (Idaho's tallest peak) just over an hour away. We are truly central to almost every type of recreation imaginable. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Other things to note
The house sits on a large lot on the edge of town but is within city limits and does have neighbors.
There are a few restaurants nearby, 93 Grill (11-8pm closed Winter) in Carey, Picabo Angler (8-3pm), and Fuego @ the GCC (Th-Sat 2-9pm) in Gannett. We do have a small grocery store/greenhouse (Itty Bitty Farms) but the closest major grocery store is 25 minutes away. With notice, I can pick up any special grocery items you may want.
We also run a kayak rental and transport business called Silver Creek Kayaks (www.silvercreekkayaks.com) We would love to transport some kayaks to Silver Creek or Little Wood Reservoir and let you enjoy the beautiful scenery as you float.

About the host
Hosted by Ember Jensen

I was born and raised in Carey. I love the outdoors and road tripping and I often combine the two by planning trips around hiking destinations. I would love to visit all the National Parks and make a good dent in the National Monuments as well.
Why they chose this property
I love the outdoors. Hiking and trail running are my go-to mood boosters.
What makes this property unique
BoLo is a fun farmhouse with a huge yard. There is a lot of room to move around and try to be as accommodating to my guests as possible.
