Brought my daughter for her 20th along with her friend and younger brother. They enjoyed the hot tub outdoor swing and fire place. Super cozy cabin we will definitely be back!
Where should I start? When we arrived to the property, the access code to get into the cabin was very simple. Not to mention, the cleanliness of the cabin and the amenities were outstanding! I can’t wait to book again & did not want to leave. Thank y’all so much for our wonderful experience of a comfortable home away from home.
The cabin was very cute and cozy. Upon arriving there was dog hair all over our bedding so we had to wash everything before sleeping. Also day 2 the hot tub water smelt fishy even after putting chemicals in it once a day. Otherwise Our stay was amazing! We just hung out the whole time, played games and relaxed. This was exactly what we needed. We definitely plan on coming back.
We really enjoyed the property! The Shuffle board and Pac Man games were great! The location was easy to find and close to everything. I would definitely stay there again. The beds were very comfortable. Suggestions: Bring soap and shampoo, they only gave us 1 small set in the bathroom. Bring towels if you like extra towels. I had to wash a lot of the kitchen supplies, they were greasy. Overall it was a great place!
We loved the cabin, we wish the rain would have let up to let the outside patio furniture dry. The living room furniture wasn't very relaxing, I wish it was oversized couch or sofa since we spent most our time in the living room. But the cabin, cabin location and our weekend there was great!
I rented this space because I needed to get away to complete a very important administrative task for my business where I had no distractions from your every day life and I found just that the setting is perfect. It slows you down like you take in the beautiful natural setting and absolutely the best experience a very calming and relaxing feeling. Just what I was hoping for to complete my task at hand which I did and ended up staying a few more days.
We saw 19 wait 20 deer behind the house one day it was simply amazing. Of course I didn’t have my phone with me.
Facts:
House wonderful
Bring groceries in the office season as some places don’t open until Thursday unless you drive back into town.
Look for the sign in the front yard
Hot tub on the amazing back deck.
Beds are
Great work space if you use the large dining room table
Will definitely go back
Entry was easy and figuring out the hot tub (even though one space/seat did not have jets working?) as well. Disappointed with the laminated rules by the front door and first time reading,as far as putting all dishes used and start the dishwasher, as well as all towels used in the washing machine, and start, as well as carry the gargage out to the exterior trash can and seal for critters? If the cleaning person does not show you will have moldy towels and the dishwasher we could not get started?
Especially, when charged a 120 dollars cleaning fee already? The wfii code worked no problem!
Also, the directions would be better turning left on
Sugarberry on a paved road, not major pot holes and gravel, to pine hills, passed Girls gone wine on the right and shortly after a left at the mercantile building. Melissa 09/26 to 09/27.
We loved our stay! The cabin is modern and was so nice! Everything was clean and we enjoyed the back deck and hot tub! It’s a great location close to town! I agree with some previous comments that Sugarberry Rd/Trail is a much better way in to prevent the massive potholes on Kannitobe. It may be a little farther but takes less time because you don’t have to stop for potholes. Overall this was an excellent cabin and was perfect relaxing time away!
We really enjoyed our time at These are the Days. My kids loved the many games: PAC-Man, Shuffleboard, Bags and Ladders. They even had a stocked closet of board/card games that we took advantage of. The hot tub was great for the cool evenings as well. The area is great and we’d definitely recommend this place to others!
Overall, my 8 year old son & I had a good time at this cabin. That said - there were enough little things that weren’t satisfactory that added up. There was a weird smell throughout the house & inside the fridge (maybe from septic?). There were no basic cooking items (ie salt, pepper). There was no countertop spray to clean the counters. The remote for the living room didn’t work (we had to use the remote for “Suite 2” for both the living room & outdoor TVs). There was no remote in the back bin (specifically labeled outside tv remote). There were 2 twin sized pillows in Suite 1, which struck me as odd since it was a king sized bed just like Suite 2 (which had king sized pillows). The lighter to the fireplace was empty. And while there were some written instructions about the fireplace by the front door, they were very vague & weren’t specific to this particular cabin. The barn door to the Suite 1 bathroom wouldn’t budge (so much so that it came off the rail when I tried to push it closed & had to work to put it back on). Only 1 set of jets worked in the hot tub. The wine opener was broken. The shuffleboard had 2 large scrapes/divots in it on either end that stopped the pucks when they hit those spots. There was no way to watch sports (which we had grand plans of doing). I’d asked to install Fubo, but they didn’t have the Roku pin. For the heightened price, my expectations were for something better.
Excellent location off paved neighborhood roads. We enjoyed onsite outdoor games, hot tub, nice big modern TVs, comfy beds, nice bathrooms, laundry and open concept living/kitchen/dining. We saw deer at dusk and dawn and enjoyed nearby activities.
Property was great for our stay. Cabin was spotless upon arrival and was stocked with everything we needed. One very minor complaint was the fitted sheet on the bed kept coming off…was stretched or not the right size for the mattress. Also….coming in from Kaniatobe Dr was pretty rough. Some of the road is paved and some is not. The sections that are not paved are very rough. We started using Sugarberry Trail which is a bit longer drive, but much smoother. Would definitely stay at this cabin again for a future trip.
