Terrible experience and would not recommend to anyone

We showed up to the house at 2 just to see if we were able to check in a little early since we traveled so far and the garage was open and the door was cracked open. We looked around and saw the house was a mess. We decided to leave and come back at 4 for checkin. We arrived at 4 and one person was trying to clean. He made the beds with the same dirty sheets. We asked for clean linen and the guy told us since it was a hassle he said we are better off canceling our reservation. We had two families and a lot of kids. We had to hurry and find new rooms which cost us double the price. This was a MAJOR inconvenience. We had soccer games that night we needed to get too. Paid way more money than we anticipated and had to have separate rooms. The guy we booked through was absolutely NO help and it is beyond disgusting that he tried to have us sleep on the same sheets of the previous renters. Had we not noticed he would have said they were clean sheets. This is not how a business should be ran. The weekend was ruined by us not being able to stay where we originally planned. We will not be booking with VRBO any time soon.
