Truly an architectural gem. Two spacious balconies and a large porch to view the ocean from. Enjoy warm sunny days on the beach or lounging by the large saltwater swimming pool. Minutes from the spectacular Atlantis Casino and Downtown, walking distance to the bus stop and grocery store. With activities like reef snorkeling, jet skiing and tours of the island you'll never get bored. Excellent location. Shawn was so communicative. Great response time. We utilized his driver service as well. Don was our driver and just added to our overall excellent experience. We highly recommend. The views were stunning and the beach was literally a 2 minute walk accross the street and a small reef accessible to snorkel. The private pool area was amazing. Overall this was just what we were looking for.

The host, Shawn greeted us upon arrival, gave us a tour and was a wonderful help throughout the week. The house is gorgeous, spacious and offers stunning views from the patio and balconies on all 3 levels. We had the best week.

Beautiful house, great location, perfect for large groups!

Oceanspray was the perfect place for my daughter's bachelorette trip! Plenty of space for her bridesmaids, the view was amazing, and Shawn was a stellar host. He and his driver were professional, prompt, and very helpful. I highly recommend using Shawn's driver, especially if you are not familiar with Nassau. Wayne is a safe and courteous driver and was very knowledgable about the area. He was literally at our beck and call...even for a late night toilet paper run! Shawn was quick to respond to all our requests and messages too. The check-in/check-out process was a breeze. The house and the location were perfect! We had the best trip and will definitely be back to stay!

Best vacation ever

The house was perfect for our two families. We also used our hosts driver for the week. This was money well spent! Highly recommend this location and host. The only thing I would like to see is the kitchen being equipped with a few more items, as we prepared a lot of our food here and often bad to get a bit creative, this wouldn’t keep us from staying here again however.

Relaxing Setup

We enjoyed our stay at Shawn’s beautiful house. We were looking for a house away from downtown and the nice pool & quiet beach across the street were both a hit with my family. Additional features worth mentioning include great views from the decks/porch, 3 bathrooms (including 1 on first floor), and decent snorkeling right in front of house. We also leveraged Shawn’s driver service. It was more expensive than a rental car, but it made for a convenient experience getting around the island.

A Slice of Heaven

Ocean spray was perfect for our family of 7. Located on the beach, we enjoyed beautiful sunrises, a crystal clear private pool, and the quiet neighborhood. The house was well appointed with all the amenities we could need. The owner greeted us with cold beers and a quick tour, and was responsive to our few questions as we settled in. I cannot recommend Oceanspray strongly enough! You’ll love it!

A great relaxing spot

Family traveled to the Bahamas for a nice quiet break in the action and this is exactly what we got. Watching the moonlight across the water, hanging out at the beach and cruising around was our mantra. Convenient, clean and a great host.

Our family stay at the ocean spray house was absolutely stunning. We relaxed by the pool playing with our kids after a long day of playing in the ocean and touring Nassau. The neighborhood was so safe with grocery stores, pharmacies, and food all near by. The fact that it was nestled in a beautiful beach away from large touristy crowds was the best but still just a quick drive to the downtown area was everything. Our host Shawn was amazing and attentive. If you need anything he is the go to. Fortunately we needed nothing as the house was equipped and safe. The inside was simple and clean. If you are traveling with small kids this place was awesome. Plenty of beds. We really enjoyed our stay.

January Escape from Chicago Winter

The property was just as advertised. Private, low-key, and great for groups and young families. The kitchen was well-stocked but in the rare occurrences that we needed something (like coffee filters or a lighter for the grill), Shawn was super-responsive. And if you're considering renting a car vs. hiring Shawn's car service (given the location, you'll want one or the other), we opted for the service and was one of the best decisions we made. A little more expensive than renting but infinitely more convenient, all things considered. Overall great experience, we look forward to coming back soon.

Wonderful house and location close to the beach. Plenty of room for all 8 women to gather. Private location with pool and beach across the street. Shawn is wonderful! Fast with responses and requests (we had plenty:). Gave multiple ideas for dinner spots, beaches and shopping.

Memorable Vacation

The property was well kept, clean, and spacious. I would say best for about 10 people. Sean the owner was GREAT!! the driver is definitely a must. Great views of the sunrise from the balconies. Much better deal than hotels for sure. Check in / out was very easy and flexible, we had to do nothing. Thanks Sean and Don for a great memorable vacation.

Bahamas vacation

Good location only 15 minute drive to downtown Nassau. Nice, safe neighborhood with friendly residents. Great sunrise mornings, sandy beach nearby, nice pool. Small kitchen with outdated appliances, only one frying pan and no baking pans. Furniture is outdated and shower in main bathroom is very small and in poor shape. Interior needs improvements.

Incredible Family trip! Amazing location

Amazing location directly on the water. Snorkeling right outside in the shallow waters we saw stingrays, barracudas and all types of fish. Our family of 6, 4 young kids ages 10-5 loved every minute of Shawn's Home. The private pool was a huge bonus for windy days or to just bum around whenever we wanted. Shawn lined up our initial airport transfer and gave us numerous recommendations for car rental, restaurants, activities etc. He was very accommodating. Our favorites were the balconies for morning coffee, fully stocked kitchen with all utensils that we needed as we cooked every breakfast and many dinners in the home. Everything worked, everything was clean and we couldn't have been happier with our very first VRBO. Shawn we hope to see you again very soon. Bahamas, we miss you already.

the air conditioning on second floor rear did not work. There was absolutely no furniture other than an bed, ottoman and a nightstand in the master bedroom, the bedroom linens were years old. The size of the shower in master bedroom was pathetically small. There was no beach, across the room from the house was a seawall, and on the other side, the ocean. You share the property with the VRBO host. He lives there; you do not have complete privacy. there were two chair's and a 2-person couch in living area, not mush furniture. The washer and dryer were rusting out. The host provided transportation at twice the cost of using Uber. the place is a rip off. You can do better and cheaper. I would never rent this place again; it is a dump. Not at all what it is advertised. We left after 2 days and forfeited the next 3. It was that bad

Great Location! Even better driver.

This house was perfect for two couples and their kids. All the beds are king size which matters to us. The 5 girls were able to share the 3rd floor loft. That being said, you will be sharing a bathroom with whoever is on that 3rd floor. This is not a problem for our family. The pool is great place to unwind from a day out on the beach, excursion or sightseeing. Having the beach across the street was so convenient. We spent 3 of our days lazing in that beautiful inlet. We found so many beautiful shells and treasures. Such a relaxing experience. We hired Berniod for our driver for the week and it was a great decision! He is so kind, funny and laidback. Our car Karaoke will be a cherished memory from this trip. :-) His taste in music was on point and made our drives so much fun! Katy Perry will never be the same!

A Fabulous Stay!

What a fabulous stay, at a fabulous place. (Clean, orderly, and well-maintained) We are a family of four and the house was more than big enough for us. It has a well-equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher, so we didn't have to go out for every meal. It was an easy trip to the grocery store, or to neighboring beaches, downtown Nassau, or Paradise Island (Americans: Keep Left! :-) ). Taxis are also very reasonable if you don't want to attempt the drive. I think the culinary highlight of our trip was visiting the Nassau fish market, picking out a huge grouper that had just been caught that day, having it filetted there, and then bringing it home and popping it on the gas grill. Life doesn't get any better than that. Sun worshipers: We could lay out in the sun right on the balconies if it got too breezy on the beach. Finally, Shawn is an amazingly helpful gentleman and took terrific care of us! Delbert

Beautiful property with all the amenities

We had the best week in Nassau! We took our 4 kids with us from Texas. It’s our 3rd time to the Bahamas and it was nice to stay outside the resorts. The property was as described. When we arrived, Shawn had it all Cleaned and smelling fresh. It’s an awesome location near the beach and a very clean private pool. My favorite things as a mom is as the washer and dryer and the kitchen was set up perfectly with the right tools to cook during our stay. The third level was perfect for my 4 kids as it had 4 queen beds set up in their own private space! They loved it. Lots of towels were available as well. Shawn also saved the day with coffee filters one morning as I forgot to pick those up from the market. The biggest plus was having his private driver Brenoid. He made the travel around the island easy and took us to the market to shop right as we came Into the island. My kids and I miss Brenoid already. He’s super patient and knows all the good places to visit. Can’t thank both these guys enough for making our stay in the Bahamas so fun and special.

Opulent….ish

Great location, great views, nice pool…but did not meet our expectations based on the listing. First, the listing stated the rental was the “entire home”. This is simply untrue - we had access to less than half the house while the property manager lived in the other half. Second, the listing says beach front and the pictures would seem to indicate the home sits on the beach….it does not. The home faces the beach but there is a fairly busy road between the house and the beach. We found this only to be a minor deviation from the listing but nonetheless a deviation. The home interior looked dated from the pictures but it’s worse in actuality - the bed in the master is horrible - there’s not much worse than the sound of rusty springs as you make any movement. The other beds looked similar. The Living Room furniture is uncomfortable and didn’t make for a cozy space for the group. The kitchen is barely stocked - 1 pot and 1 saucepan and there is nothing extra. The decor desperately needs a woman’s touch throughout the home. Now the good - Shawn is incredibly nice and was responsive to whatever we required. There are two grocery stores very nearby which is awesome. The beach is steps from the front door and is beautiful - probably the best in Nassau. The pool area is clean and well manicured. The area felt safe and there were lots of walkers/excercise enthusiasts out with the sunrise. in

Nice roomy house right across from a beach.

Renting from Shawn was a great experience. He was easy to work with and was there to greet us when we arrived. Whenever we needed anything, he had it to us by the next morning. As far as the house goes, it is in a quiet area on the East side of the island. The sunrises each morning were spectacular. There was plenty of room for the 9 of us. The parents slept in the two bedrooms and the young adults had plenty of room in the loft. The house is well kept and has all the necessities. We ate about half our meals at the house and half out, so having a full kitchen was great. Also, having the washer and dryer was helpful after the days water adventures. There also a brand new pool in the side yard. I would definitely recommend using Bernoid as the driver. He can take up to 12 and is available from 6am to midnight and even worked later to pick us up on New Years Eve. Wherever we needed to go he was there promptly to get us there. As the kids said “Bernoid is the man!” The reason for four stars instead of five is there are a couple of minor maintanence issues, the WiFi kept cutting in and out and there needs to be more seating in the living room. Overall, our stay at Oceanspray was fantastic and we will stay there again on our next visit to Nassau.
