The house was stunning and enough room that we all had our own rooms and bathrooms. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe. We will absolutely be back.

Our family has been going to San Carlos for over 30 years. This is the nicest home we have stayed at. Every little detail the owners have done, was greatly appreciated. The location, home condition and furnishing were top notched. Would highly recommend to family and friends without hesitation. One of the negatives was a inconsiderate neighbor. There dog would bark continuously day and night. We talked to the Owner, and she said they would try to get this issue resolved. Once we knew how to navigate through the gated community the home got easier to find. Overall, this was beautifully maintained home in a great ocean view location.

Great House with too many eyes

The house was great and fit our needs perfectly. We had an issue finding the house and I was unaware that the entrance instructions were in the VRBO app, but the manager was very responsive, even later at night so that we could find the house and get in. The manager was also very responsive when I let her know that the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and not working, and neither was the disposal. She sent a person to fix those things and then demanded that our animals were no longer allowed in the house and must stay in the garage and included 3 pictures sharing her concern that we were allowing the animals to get on the furniture. We had paid extra for the animals to stay. We had brought sheets from our own house to cover all furniture and did our best to keep animals off the furniture. I could see 1 dog hair on one of the pictures and it was on a sheet that we had brought. We have animals, we will bring dog hair in on our clothes, on our bags and that hair could have come from us sitting on the furniture. I have never felt so watched in any VRBO stay. I let them know that keeping the animals in the garage was an unacceptable solution and that we would rather be refunded and find another place to stay than not allow the dogs in the house. That issue was satisfactorily resolved and we were able to enjoy our stay; other than feeling like we would be watched and scrutinized for any little thing. I worked harder than I ever have to clean and leave no trace of animals.
