About this property

Rustic Meets Modern. Lake Vermilion Cabin On Everetts Bay, Pet Friendly.

Note: Dock has been taken out of the lake for 2023. It will be back spring of 2024.
Winter is here and soon the snow will come. Grampa's is right on the lake. Plenty of room of trailers and trucks. Ice fish or snow mobile right from the cabin. Many trails abound in the area.
Recently listed! Grandpa's cabin has been fully remodeled from top to bottom. From the outside it looks small but inside it provides 3 large bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. A large fully equipped kitchen has brand new appliances and space for several cooks, providing everything you need for a wonderful time. The dining and living room are one large area offering a table with seating for eight and a comfy sectional sofa.

If you are looking for a getaway or a get together this is your year-round place. Located next to public access, it’s a great spot for snowmobilers, ice fishing, or launching your boat. Park your boat on the large dock surrounded by trees that shelter both dock and cabin from view. There is also a fire pit, a fish cleaning table, 2 hammocks and even the use of an onsite canoe.

Inside, the remodel feels open, modern, and woodsy at the same time. It has an understated quietness with plenty of room for your group. A bedroom downstairs has a king size bed with an adjacent full bath. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms both with king size beds and full-size daybeds. Note that both daybeds have twin beds underneath that pull out.

The cabin is located on Everett Bay across from Fortune Bay casino, Sunset Steakhouse, and The Wilderness Golf Course (2min by boat/10min drive), and close to several taverns and restaurants.

So, if your needs are for quiet spaces or communal living, this hits the spot!

Great location, beautiful place
The property and house were both beautiful and we loved our stay here The hosts were easy to get ahold of and check in was easy You are right next to a boat launch so I did hear boat traffic really early in the morning but that was bad Kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to cook The only drawbacks for me were the stairs to enter the home with a 2 year old wasn’t ideal And the water pressure for showers wasn’t great hit the showers themselves were very nice We’d definitely stay here again

Peaceful Hideaway
We used Grandpa's Cabin as a home base to explore the area. The cabin is beautifully remolded inside. It was extremely warm outside reaching the mid 90's and the air conditioning inside worked perfectly. The bay is weedy in front of the cabin but we paddled out a little ways and swam off our paddle boards. The water was perfect. There is a public boat ramp right next to the property which would be perfect if you brought your own boat. Only draw back was the main entrance was up a large flight of stairs. The deck provided a nice place to hang out as well did the chairs around the fire pit. I would definitely recommend this property.

Rest and relax by the lake
We had to cancel a trip to the mountains at the last minute due to a bad hip. We found this cabin and it looked just right. It was an easy drive from the Twin Cities and getting into the cabin was easy. The lights were a little confusing at first, but we figured it out. The kitchen was well equipped for our stay but will need more coffee mugs for a larger group. The grill worked great and we took out the canoe every day to explore the coves and inlets in the area. The beds were comfortable but more lights in the bedroom would be helpful. Our hostess, Laura, made sure we were okay and was easily available to answer questions. We’d come again.
