Blues Moon Cabin is perfectly situated within minutes of all the Red River Gorge has to offer! Escape the day to day on this private wooded lot in Birch Hollow with mature trees and fantastic cliffs within view of your hot tub!
You'll immediately notice the care and craftsmanship that went into this cabin and its ongoing stewardship!
From the well equipped kitchen, stone fireplace w/ log mantle, to the INCREDIBLE walk in shower you'll feel comfortable and at home! Wifi & a smart TV!

The Space:
All of our kitchens are supplied with the basics. From forks, spoons & knives, to pots and pans, you should have no problem cooking. However, due to high volume of guests, things like to run off. If there is something you're missing in the kitchen, please reach out to us to make your stay a 5-star experience!

The Neighborhood:
This cabin is situated in a neighborhood setting in a perfectly central location for many activities in the Red River Gorge. Hikes are around 10 minutes away in all directions, including other things to do such as climbing, kayaking, and the Zip Line to name a few! The cabin is located off of paved roads, except for when you arrive more closely to the cabin you will encounter gravel roads.

Getting Around:
Parking up to the cabin does requires driving up a steep gravel hill. Sedans can make it no problem, just drive with confidence and you'll be just fine. If you're not comfortable driving on gravel or steep terrain, please have 4WD.

Other Things to Note:
Perfect location in between the local grocery store as well as world famous local climbing areas! Not to mention about 10-15 minutes from the world renowned pizza place, Miguels Pizza and Red River Rock House! Blues moon is a perfect spot for climbers and hikers alike, or if you just need a beautiful quiet getaway!

Pets are allowed at this cabin! Toiletries are not provided. The WiFi is only moderate, we recommend pre-downloading things like music and movies etc. The service is spotty in this area. Please come prepared. The cabin has city water and is considered safe for all uses.

great family getaway

I loved the cabin and location, it felt remote but was close to all the hiking and restaurants. The amenities were very thoughtful, and clean. The kids loved the pool table and hot tub, our dog was very happy and comfortable. I would certainly go back!

Great Getaway

We loved this cabin and the Red River Gorge area. Check the Cabins of Birch Hollow website for info about the area. Check restaurant hours because many are open only certain days/times. I'll add some tips about this cabin. These items were provided - laundry soap, towels, washcloths, coffee filters, salt, pepper, hand soap, small shampoo, paper towel, lighter. There was a regular coffee maker and also a Keurig with a few coffee pods. Kitchen had a dishwasher with only three dish pods provided. And here are things you might want to bring that were not provided - firewood, charcoal for the grill, scissors, dishcloth, large pancake griddle. We found everything else we needed in the kitchen. We drove a 2WD Honda minivan and made it up the hill just fine even in the rain with an aggressive driver and a running start. Internet worked fine, even for videos. Yep there were a few bugs but this is because you are in the woods. The third bed is in the pool table room and you can see it in one of the photos. It's a little bright in that room due to the big windows. There's some construction going on nearby but we didn't hear anything. Would be great to keep the area as natural as possible with small lawns.

Great time in RRG

Great stay. Property was awesome inside and out. Furniture and beds were comfortable. Kitchen was nicely equipped. Great location for hiking the Red River Gorge.

Great Stay - Just book it!

House and location were perfect. The location offered a nearly private setting with plenty of hiking and scenery. House was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. The artwork throughout is very tastefully done with plenty of room for people and pets yet it is very cozy. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond should you request assistance. Already planning a fall trip there! One note about the road- unless you have never driven on anything other than a paved road before, this road may feel odd. I found it to be easily accessible. It is wide for that type of road and packed hard, not loose gravel on dirt. I even noticed a small car having no problem on it while hiking one day. Snow might cause you to spin a tire but otherwise a very good “back country” road.
