Bedrooms (36m2 each) are equipped with king size beds, writing desks. Large doors into bathrooms (east bathroom is 24m2, the west bathroom is 36m2 can be wide open creating the harmony of semi-open space with large bathtubs. The soothing sound of the water coming down over the 1.5m high ceramic vase contributes to the tranquility of the place.
Bale (10m2 open structure) with ocean view, welcoming front porch (30m2)with antique armchairs.
Villa Joglo is a combination of an antique teak house from Java with contemporary architectural elements. The elegant open design plan with intricate carving on teak walls, with conveniences of a contemporary home. Villa Joglo is 557 m2 roofed space include semi-open spa attached.

Both bdrs on a second floor--each 35m2 have attached bathroom. Bdrs equipped with queen size Madura beds, armoires, writing tables, and chairs.
The Villa Joglo’s large kitchen/dining/living/entertainment/office area is tastefully appointed with antique furniture pieces and contemporary design elements that divide the large open space into different 'zones'.
This villa can comfortably accommodate 4 adults with children.
Villa Yoga Bale has 2 bedrooms and a total living area of 225m2. It's grandiose semi-open living space (80m2 with over 7m high ceiling) is a multifunctional area for dining, relaxing, playing games, watching the waterfall built out of rough marble and handmade ceramic vase; hosting a small performance, and practicing yoga.
Antique Javanese (gebyok-intrinsic traditional carving) walls are united with large panes of glass to create a traditional/contemporary blend in a fully air-conditioned downstairs bedroom. The bedroom is large enough to hold a king size bed and a double bed (both antique from the island of Madura), a writing table, chairs, and armoire for clothes. Attached to the bedroom is 30m2 bathroom with handmade terrazzo bathtub and separate shower. Another bedroom upstairs (36m2) with vaulted thatched (alang-alang) ceiling offers the best view of the ocean.
4 adults plus children can reside at the villa with comfort.
Over the years our compound has proven to be the great place for family travels, welcoming kids by a safe beach, children pool and a lot of grass fields, large enough to put together a friendly family soccer match. Many families have become loyal returning customers.
There are hundreds of reviews at the villas and many are posted online (We are posting here one of the recent review left by a seasoned traveler:
“We had the most AMAZING time at your gorgeous property. We can’t stop talking or thinking about it. It was so relaxing and beautiful. The staff was fantastic; Ayu helped us out with every request.
We have been to Bali around 16 times since 1997, staying at guesthouses, luxury hotels, and many different villas. Your place was definitely our favorite villa that we have rented. I loved all the antiques — much more my preference than all the modern luxury villas popping up — and villas were so well laid out. The garden is beautiful, and the views of course, stunning. Also, we have stayed in Candi Dasa a few times, but this was our first time to your village. We loved it! Nice locals, and definitely more clean and well-kept than many villages in the area. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us! We hope to stay there again someday”. Amy B.

About the host
Hosted by CKS management

We are very interested in Balinese arts and culture. For more than 30 years we were coming to Bali to work, enjoy the weather and get inspired. Finally, by 2010 we settled in Bali and build the compound of 3 villas. Yet not retired to live in Bali most of the time, we are trying to spend as much time as possible here. We are enjoying meeting new people and eager to share our knowledge and contacts in arts and theatre. We are yoga enthusiasts, play a lot of recreational tennis, dive.
Why they chose this property
It is a great alternative to Bali's overcrowded South. Incredible nature, mountains surroundings, safe ocean, great for boat activities, snorkeling and sailing. New highway makes our place very accessible, it takes only 50 min to get to Sanur these days. Plus, we like it quiet. Like many creative people we need the sound of the wave and the wind to concentrate on our work.
Our villas are built in Traditional Indonesian style with contemporary twists at the palm fringed beach overlooking coral reefed lagoon outside the town of Candidasa.
You will love an oasis of calm and comfort decorated with cleverly chosen local antiques, artwork and crafts you’ll want to take home with you.
All meals can be catered at the villa or you can eat out in a wide variety of local restaurants, but with kids in tow it’s a good idea to stock up on snacks and favorite foods for light lunches. Groceries can be ordered in for you, or have the driver take you to a supermarket in one of the larger towns at the beginning of your stay to stock up on necessities. There is a German baker in the local town for fresh bread and rolls.
Wonderful massages can be booked in the spa courtyard, private yoga sessions or tennis lessons can be arranged on request.

What makes this property unique
Three villas share large (6200m2) oceanfront property with 100 coconut trees. Villa Joglo and villa Saraswati larger rental villas are built using antique carved wooden walls and ceilings from a traditional Javanese homes. Intricate carved wood delights the eye at every turn and is combined with wide glass doors all over villas' sides to create an interior that is at once rooted in tradition and modern and light filled. Beautifully decorated with a mixture of contemporary artworks and quirky traditional craft, every piece of furniture is individual, carefully chosen and comfortable as well as beautiful.
Floors are smooth local stone tiles, tactile and pleasing to bare feet – there is no reason to wear shoes at all at the villa, inside or out as the grass lawns are soft as deep pile carpet.
Upstairs in Villa Joglo the stunning carved ceiling is the architectural focus. The two bedrooms are divided by the wooden panels and glass doors, and the central sitting area curtained at night. Central area can become an additional bedroom. There are two beautifully fitted bathrooms with soft fluffy towels, huge granite tubs and stone sinks. All three rooms open onto a wide wrap-around balcony with an upstairs sitting area and stunning views through the palms to the sea and the island of Nusa Penida.
Balinese thatched villa Yoga Bale has two large bedrooms and its own spacious open living room with soaring thatch ceiling. It is designed for island living with two sides open to the garden, closed in only by rattan blinds when windy and at night. The downstairs family bedroom with two large carved wood beds and plenty of space for a cot is the room. The two bathrooms are open air, like small private courtyards. Beautiful carved wooden beds, soft linen sheets and well-chosen pillows make for comfort all our villas.
