Our family enjoyed our overnight stay at this historical cabin! We loved all the details and decor, especially the live edge tree slab tables and island, and the secret bookshelf door into the bunkbed room. It was like a trip back in time but with all the modern comforts. The check-in and check-out process went smoothly and the hostess was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Our family had a cozy and restful time together.

I stay in Walnut Lodge cabin was perfect. Check-in was easy and she quickly extended our stay for another night.I loved taking my grandkids around the property and looking at all the different trees and plants. I wish the trails would’ve been a little bit more kept so the little kids could go farther into the property though.

Our family stayed for an extended weekend in the spring. The cabin is situated in a lovely setting and offers trails on site. The workmanship of the reassembled 1830s log cabin was amazing. All the details were greatly appreciated. We enjoyed several bonfires and grilled over the wood fire with the newly added grill top. The grandkids had fun on the rope swings. The front porch is so large and inviting. The town of Somerset is nearby and had several great restaurants. Also close to Buckeye Lake. A very fun, memorable stay for all!

2023 Hunting trip

This was our third annual out of state hunting trip with our boys. The cabin along with all the amenities was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the property and the ability to hunt right there. We look forward to staying again in the near future.

Buckeye at Best

Everything was perfect from the cleanliness and amenities. Beautiful scenery,peaceful. Nice trails and shooting area. Careful grill had mold and was dirty but that was it we didn’t want to spend time from the stay cleaning it.
