Dirty and broken floors

Traveled over 12 hours with kids, ended up washing the bed sheets and the floor before going to sleep. The floor is cracked and broken (serious tripping hazard). A lot of soft spots in the kitchen. Popcorn under the tv stand. Coffee spills in the bedrooms and hallways, sand in bed sheets.

All true. We cancelled and refunded the. Next guests to make repairs to our home after previous guests this summer have caused extensive damage to our home. We also terminated the cleaning company over the substandard cleaning practices and I am on my way to the home to personally oversee the repairs. Our apologies we did not meet yours or our expectations. This was literally 4 years ago. The homes been renovated since then due to hurricane damage.

Gulf Shores Getaway August 2022

The price was just right for this beautiful property in Gulf Shores, Alabama. We had a family group of 14 and there was more than enough room for all of us. The pool was an added touch.

Nice house for families

Enjoyed our week at this house. The pool and proximity to the beach were the highlight. Would love to see more inside seating for the group when it was too hot to sit outside. Beds and bathrooms were nice for our size group.

Friendcation sucess

We had been organizing this friendcation for a year and a half, and the house helped our trip be a great success. Air conditioning was great. Water pressure and hot water were also great. Location is convenient to beach, restaurants, and groceries. Plus it was all family friendly.

Good Property For Large Family

This house was a great size for our large blended family. Having 2 kitchens, 2 laundry rooms, and a large pool deck was great. Even with a few issues arising, the owner was quick to get them resolved. The walk to the beach isn’t terrible and there’s an ice cream store 1 place over that is fabulous.

We really enjoyed our stay. Pool was amazing and the proximity to the beach was great. We had a couple of extremely minor hiccups during our stay. I was impressed with the owner’s responsiveness and courtesy.

Great vacation

We had a great week and really loved the house and pool!! We had an issue with the garbage disposal on Sunday. I called the landlord he said he would take care of it as soon as possible. Need I mind you it was Sunday on Memorial Day weekend so we figured it would take a few days. But no he had someone out to fix it that evening. He was nice and easy to work with.

Nice House, small issue with cleaning crew

Due to previous renters, our house was left with a few surprises and the cleaning crew couldn't necessarily keep up with all the problems left by the spring breakers... A quick message to the owner and he was on it. Bill was very easy to work with and we would rent from him again. This house was beautiful and perfectly located as well Thank you for a great place!

Spring Break Family Vacation

House was big enough to accommodate our entire family. We had a few issues that went unresolved. The refrigerator on side b didn’t work at all and spoiled our food. Once management was notified and finally decided to respond he sent a maintenance crew out to attempt to fix the problem but didn’t. There was another refrigerator on the other side of the unit but the ice maker and water dispenser wasn’t working. The owner didn’t try to accommodate food that was lost, he simply stated it made no sense to let food spoil if there was a second refrigerator, not taking into consideration of how many ppl were in the unit or to think maybe their refrigerator was already full, which it was. The unit didn’t come with a broom or mop for minor cleaning throughout the stay, the trash bins were full upon arrival so it was very difficult for our party to get trash out. The pool was ok for the kids but does not come with pool heat. The beach is a 5 minute walk which was the best part of the trip. There was stains on the furniture and scuff marks on the walls. Maintenance didn’t have the chance to inspect the unit before we arrived and we found a broken closet door, missing remotes and a glass panel fell and broke due to the last party removing the screws from it. On the day of check in we had to ask owners for code to check in at 3pm that evening when check in was at 4. The communication with the owners for me was terrible. This stay could have been a lot better but we will definitely not stay here again.

That’s completely false and you know it. You were in our home a total of 42 hours and I had a repairman there immediately. There are 2 full size refrigerators and we discussed that. You were apprised that we could not get a repair person on a Sunday afternoon. You were so apprised we have trash service who takes the trash out for each trash day. Now you’re upset with when the trash service runs? In the scarcely 40 hours you were there we had 2 neighbor complaints for the loud rap music and the cleaners said you left the house trashed which I did not charge you for. You are complaining about the lack of pool heater but we don’t advertise a pool heater and complaining about lack of communication yet you received check information before check in and I had repair people there immediately after you alerted us. We take complaints seriously but we don’t walk on water. I guess I should have gotten in my imaginary helicopter and dropped off a new refrigerator on a Sunday evening along with a pool heater and a disco ball for your party. Your complaints are disingenuous and we both know it.

Great location with great views, easy access, beautiful beach with a short walk. The home is beautiful, would like to reccomend a few details to owner/management to make this vacation home exceptional; I recommend hiring a new cleaning crew as pots and pans were found with food items still attached, old crumbs under the sofa cushions, Cleaning crew should notifiy the owner when utensils - pots and pans go missing or need replacement; no cleaning supplies provided for a weeks vacation stay. Further recomendations; cleaning equipment to be left IE. broom, mops, hand brush and pan, hand soap, windex, cleaning towles.

Dirty and Needs Work

Half the beds still had sand in them. There was dirty towels left in the washer. There was dirt on the floors and food left on the gas grill. The house needs a lot of attention and things need to be fixed, a whole in the deck over the pool skimmer . I alerted the owner about the beds, towels and they responded quickly by sending the cleaning crew to take care of it the next day. We had already taken care of the issues. This was a family vacation with my children and grandkids it was very disappointing. I’ve sent pictures to the owners about the different issues and hopefully they will repair and fix the issues.

I was waiting on this one. We had 1 bed that a precious guest apparently reminded the mattress pad. This guest called and made us aware snd we called the cleaning company immediately and they came out immediately but that wasn’t enough for this extremely entitled guest. Then she declared we had bed bugs and demanded we send an exterminator out on a Saturday at 6pm. I assured her we do not have bed bugs and we have a contract with a pest Control company. This led her to refuse to w red the house. I asked her to read the reviews and note- zero bed bug issues!! Then I reminded her we are a beach front cottage - if you didn’t want to be around sand then go to the mountains. As a home owner - people have lost their damned minds since covid. She’s obviously not welcome back as my wife and I don’t do this to be abused by people. My reviews make it clear when there’s a problem we address it immediately but we can’t please irrational people who come to the beach and complain about sand.

Beautiful Home Especially for a Big Family

Our stay was great lovely home and a good five minute walk to the beach good views from both sides of the house. It was nice because it was in between everything. Owner was very quick with response which was awesome. The only downfall that we noticed the first night was pretty much throughout the whole house you could feel the sand that must’ve not been swept up and also in a few rooms there were sand in the beds and the sheets, and dirty wet/moldy towels in one side of the washer, But it was a easy wash and clean up nothing too bad. Other than that it’s a great place to say especially for a big family we will definitely be coming back again!!!

You Won’t Be Disappointed

This property is exactly what we needed for our large family of 20. Easy 2 minute walk to the beach. The pool was a perfect addition for all of the children (and adults). The hosts are absolutely incredible. (Uncle Bill) as my grown daughters referred to as was prompt with any questions/issues we had; responding within 5 minutes. This place is well worth every penny, and we will definitely be back! Thanks for an also g vacation spot!
