This peaceful, secluded lodge sits on 5 private acres in a gated community just outside of Franklin, NC. With its sweeping 270-degree views year-round, you’ll enjoy stunning vistas from four decks, the hot tub, the sleeping swing, and every room of this upscale residence which sleeps up to 10 in 4 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. The Snug/TV room can be converted into a fifth bedroom if needed. It has a queen sleeper sofa and ensuite bathroom.

The main level of the home and two of its decks are wheelchair accessible. A queen ensuite bedroom on the main/first floor has a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.

This truly is a haven! Equipped with anything you may need. Plenty of space and bathrooms. Beautifully decorated and mantained! And the views are spectacular!!! Conveniently located to town. Will definitely book again.

Perfect Getaway!

Family reunion in the mountains

Can’t say enough great things about Buttercup Haven. Every detail has been considered for what you would need. Beautiful views. Beautiful home. The home was absolutely stunning. It was great for a long weekend - close to town for groceries, but still totally private/isolated. We had a maintenance issue upon check-in and Margaret took care of it instantly! Would definitely stay again.

Sons Wedding

I booked this property for my family several months ago so we could attend my son's wedding in Franklin. It is not an exaggeration to say that it's probably the nicest property that we have ever rented. We have traveled extensively over the years, but this property checked all of the boxes. Incredible views, extremely comfortable, well stocked, and decorated beautifully. Although the wedding was perfect, we really had a hard time leaving the house. We are already making plans to visit the area again at some point and hope to stay at the same place if it's available.

Great House! Amazing Views!

We would highly recommend staying at this house! We loved the views, and it was stunning inside and out! We went with four couples, and each couple had their own room and bathroom. It was perfect! Clear instructions and great communication with the host as well.

What an incredibly beautiful home and grounds! Beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything we needed. Breathtaking views of the mountains from 4 different comfortable porches perfect for gathering and sipping cocktails. Directions and check in were easy and well laid out. Beautiful Getaway

The scenery is fantastic with wonderful views all around the property. This home is decorated with much thought and great taste. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine for cooking better than any home I’ve vacationed in before. All the light switches are labeled which was very helpful. Beautiful vacation home.

I fell in love with NC when my husband to be first brought me to Franklin in 1982 to meet his mother and extended family. Since then, I have learned much about my mother-in-law's connection to the area, including the fact that her father's family were among the first white settlers to Franklin. Our family has strong ties to the area, even though we are not permanent residents. I always look forward to my stays at Buttercup Haven and especially enjoy sharing my home with family, friends, and guests.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this property because of its unique location, its beauty, the tranquility of the outdoors, and the magnificent views from every room. The post and beam home has been built with amazing care and attention to detail. Since I purchased Buttercup Haven in late 2012, new furnishings have been added throughout the home.

In recent years, the exterior has been updated with a new color palette, the addition of entry gates, and annual updates to the landscaping, making the yard today a haven for butterflies as well as humans! Additional seating has been added to the outdoor areas.

Buttercup Haven is a home that I personally enjoy with family and friends, as well as a growing number of returning guests.
