Clean and spacious but not a safe neighborhood
Very clean, lots of room. The neighborhood is desolate and run down. I didn’t feel super comfortable walking places at night, would recommend renting a car if you stay here. Check in was smooth and simple.

Thank you Avery for the review, and the positive comments. Though your view of the neighborhood does not represent the views of 40 reviews on Airbnb. This property value has gone up 50% in the last 2 years, Madison Park is a highly desirable neighborhood. There is only 1 vacant home on this block that is currently being remodeled, in a city of 15,000 vacant homes. This block has been built up substantially compared to most of Baltimore. Most major cities are also more dangerous at night. Walking around is not wise in places where you are not familiar, period. That being said, the neighbors here are nice people, and there are multiple successful Airbnb/VRBO on this block. If you walked somewhere else that is not where this building is located we can not be blamed for what you experienced.
First this place is super close to the harbor. 10 min drive and perfect to come back to and relax. Easy check in. Walking in the door I was very surprised how spacious the apartment was. Pictures didn’t do it justice! The space was clean and well laid out. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds were comfortable. Full bathroom downstairs and a half bath upstairs.
The dining room and kitchen areas were also very spacious. The living room was comfortable and a nice place to hang out at night when we got back. There were pots, pans, a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, cooking items, dishes, and a full size fridge for everything we brought. Chris need to get a can opener ;-) but that my only comment!
There’s a washer and dryer on site - didn’t need to use it but with kids it’s a nice option.
I wasn’t as familiar with the area and you can tell that the town is working to upgrade the neighborhood. Worth pointing out if folks need to know. I will say I had to run out at around midnight and find an open 7/11 because my son needed ibuprofen. Everything was fine and I didn’t have any issues. There’s plenty of street parking right out front and very few steps to bring everything in. Well lit. We’d stay again!
