Peaceful location, beautiful view

I Very much enjoyed my stay. I enjoyed hiking at the nearby park and going out on the lake on one of the kayaks. I spent most of my time on the porch enjoying the view and the peace. It was a perfect getaway.

Perfect place for a retreat

This is probably the best cottage I have ever rented! It was clean, quiet, and cozy. You could see Buck Lake from just about everywhere in the cottage. The hiking at Dr. Lawless Park was amazing too. Overall, this was a perfect place for my solo retreat.

Lovely cabin, everything felt clean and the location was great. The water is treated with sulfur and it smells like it (after showers, the whole place smelled like eggs) but that's understandable out in the country. Our main complaint was about the bugs. The owner warned us about stink bugs at check-in, and they were right. We caught about a dozen over 4 days. And we found a huge roach in the bedroom. But the cabin still felt clean!

Wonderful views almost anywhere you look!

Amazing, unique property! So beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed just sitting in the sun room and staring out at the lake. Great recommendation for Bullseye marketplace near by. T.K. Lawless park is right next door, wonderful trails for all! We would love to stay again, we certainly did not want to leave!

Quiet, Secluded, Lovely Home

Lovely home on a small lake. Interior has been completely remodeled. Everything is here for a getaway! Kitchen has ample dishes, cookware. Listing is accurate. Grocery stores and restaurants are a few miles away. Jetted tub is awaiting a part for repairs. Easy online checkin.

Peaceful setting

I arrived in a rain storm, and was pleasantly surprised to have all of the little extras to help. Cf, cream and sugar were available. The deck on the lakeview side is where I spent most of my time. Just watching the swans. The home was clean and a very nice secluded spot. I did not go down the stairs out front but the deck below called to me. Awesome space to get away from it all, although not far. The hummingbirds were active too. A suggestion, as I could not find the front room tv instructions. I could never make it work, but the bedroom did fine. I would highly recommend this place to anyone just wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very charming lake cottage for a long weekend!Pros: The lake views are gorgeous, and the photos really do not do them justice. We especially loved the glorious sunroom. The cottage was comfortably furnished, with a great bed, extremely clean interiors, and strong A/C. It was also very well-stocked with lots of thoughtful touches, including board games, puzzles, books, and binoculars. Our host was communicative and responsive throughout our stay.I took off one star for a couple of areas that could use some attention. First, the outdoor areas could have been cleaner and better maintained. Second, the dock appears to need significant maintenance. Because of the high water levels during our stay, it was partially submerged and quite slippery. It also felt unstable, and there were old metal posts stored on the dock, which made navigating it feel somewhat unsafe. The dock was also covered in quite a bit of goose poop. We had hoped to use the kayaks several times during the weekend, but ultimately only went out once because accessing the lake from the dock was more difficult than expected.Overall, this cottage is a wonderful, cozy getaway and a lovely place to relax and enjoy the lake views. If boating and frequent access to the lake are a major priority, though, I would probably wait until the dock and outdoor areas have received some attention. For a peaceful and comfortable retreat, we really enjoyed our stay!
