AUTUMN MIST - Log Cabin on 4.5 wooded acres with 800 feet of state stocked trout stream frontage.

Located between Boone & West Jefferson. Convenient to the New River and Blue Ridge Parkway.

Main Level: Greatroom with cathedral ceiling, gas logs and Flatscreen Smart Roku TV . Well equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, dishwasher, keurig coffee maker, blender, coffee grinder, standard coffee maker & all cookware, stoneware. Large windows to enjoy the views and creek. Comfy sofa & chair. Main level bedroom offers queen bed and Smart TV for streaming. Open the sliding doors off greatroom to the large open and part covered deck with Adirondacks and picnic table overlooking the trout stream and wooded privacy. Dine on the covered porch with patio set, gas firetable and gas grill. Main level bath offers custom tile walk in shower & double vanity.

Upper level: loft bedroom offers king bedroom set, reading chair & ottoman.

Lower Level: gameroom offers 2nd sitting area, slate billiard table, Foosball Table, Flatscreen Smart Roku TV. Full bath with shower, washer & dryer.

Lower level covered deck enjoy the hot tub and high top table set.

Down by the creek, enjoy smores and stories by the open firepit or let the kids splash in the water. Creekside picnic table.

Other amenities: WIFI, gas fire table, wood firepit by creek, portable crib (pack n play), books, games, Dora play house, blocks, child/pet gate, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, gas grill, extra blankets.

Dog Friendly: Small dog (25lbs or less) accepted with prior notice and approval. 2 dog max. No Puppies or other animals.

The house was great, very clean ! Everything in the house was clean and organized. The location was great , everything in a matter of 20-30 minutes close by, I would recommend 110%.

Relaxing

We had a very relaxing weekend. Our dog loved the stream! The location is very secluded but close to conveniences. Husband caught 3 trout while fishing one morning.

Cabin Fun

Overall really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. Far enough away from everything to really sit back and relax but close enough to boone and west Jefferson to make a quick trip or spend the day there. Enjoyed fishing in the creek, playing pool, and relaxing in the hot tub. Fun weekend getaway!!

Loved our stay

We stayed in the cabin back in June and loved it! We were able to get into the cabin upon arrival, which was earlier than the check in time. Loved the deck and ate most of our meals outdoors. Also loved the stream and firepit..we spent all three evenings by the stream talking and relaxing. Lots of things close by to do. Wouldn't hesitate the recommend this cabin.

The perfect getaway

My husband and I had the best time staying at this cabin. We try to make a cabin trip every fall in this area, and this was one of the best overall experiences from start to finish. Its close enough to stores yet provides privacy. We also had our dog who loved playing by the water and all the amazing trails near by. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Great little getaway

This cabin had everything we were looking for. The kids really enjoyed the pool table, the creek next to the cabin and we took nighttime nature walk up the road from the cabin. Great location to Jefferson mountain where we climbed and to the old barn winery for us adults. We even got a little snow the last morning we were there!!! This is a great place for small families or a getaway for just adults. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this amazing place.

Great Stay

What a great location. Nice, spacious cabin. Well stocked. Everything worked perfectly. Hot tub was great. Can hear the rushing water of the stream below. What a perfect weekend for me and my family! Highly recommended! Will definitely stay here again!

Mountain get-away

Cabin was very comfortable and cozy. Kitchen had just enough amenities. Our one complaint was the hot tub had WAY to much chlorine and chemicals. It literally made us cough when we went in. Pool table and fooseball tables were in great condition. Really nice place to stay.

Awesome location!

Very nice place and easy access to West Jefferson or Boone. Blowing rock is only about 30 minutes away as well. The creek below the cabin was clear and made for relaxing times for us and our dogs. Kitchen is workable although with kitchen table it's a little tight. HOT TUB was great and clean. The only down side was having to launder the sheets or pay $40 extra. I have been to many VRBO cabins and having to clean and fold the sheets was a first. No worries though, good laundry room. I would recommend this spot for anyone coming to West Jefferson area.

Perfect couples getaway!

The cabin is very nice for a couples getaway. Nice porchesand pool table. Plenty of kitchenware to cook for 2. And a gas grill. My husband was hoping to fish but the photos on line are deceiving as it it a very steep hike to the water with no direct path off of a deck. The water is narrow and shallow. Disappointing for sure. We did not use the hot tub but nice to have one available. Some noice from highway but still nice to sit on decks and birdwatch! Quiet and relaxing- it fit the ticket!

Couples Weekend

Upon arriving about an hour before my husband and I, our friends had connected the internet, the started fire place and started the heat. They had to call to get some help but it seemed to be an easy process. The place was clean and very cute. We were not successful at using the grill but did use the outdoor fireplace and the hot tub. It is on a nice river but it was too cold for us to use the fire pit down by the river. We were close to the little town of West Jefferson and we spent the day exploring. I requested a later check out and we were able to check out at noon. :)

I'm pregnant niether heaters would stay lit mind u it's 45 outside colder inside at night. I was stuck on potty for 30 mins while my husband had to go to store because there was no tissue... My car got stuck in mud coming in and it just wasn't worth all the trouble honestly leaving to go home was the best part other then relaxing in jucuzzi and getting alone time with my husband

Christmas in July getaway!

Upon arrival we were surprised to find that we had to make our own beds...this was a 1st for us. Shower curtain had mold on it and the deck needed to be swept off, which we did. When we were told that someone was going to work on the hot tub in the evening but were suprised to see him at 9:30 pm. When he left a white pick up truck 50 ' from the house went off the road into a ditch (so much for the private driveway). Need chains at the end and a sign so people won't think it's road for the public. The next day we came back from our outing and found Jehovah's witness material in the door (so much for the private driveway). That night at 11:30pm a red pick up truck pulled up next to the house and an old fella was looking for his daughter's house. I put my clothes on and moved our car so he could turn around (so much for the private driveway). On a positive note the overall appearance of the house was very clean, cute decorations. Kitchen was cute and clean. Bathrooms were also clean except the shower curtain at the bottom. Probably should replace it. Enjoyed the stream below and Christmas in July. Location is good for anyone wanting to attend. Love the West Jefferson area.

We really enjoyed the property, listing is very accurate, very private but close to West Jefferson for eating ant shopping. Enjoyed building bonfire by the creek and finishing up the evening in the hot tub and game room. Would stay again!

Book and Stay with Confidence

This was perfect for myself and 2 kids. They played in and very much enjoyed the stream just below the cabin. This location was an excellent base camp- short drive to lots of mountain area fun- The cabin was secluded, very clean and easy to access. Had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommended if it’s a good fit for your group.

Wonderful Spring Break Vacation

We had the best time at the cabin for Spring Break. Listening to the creek while drinking coffee and tea in the mornings, sitting around the fire pit by the creek or fire table on the porch, playing pool and Foosball with our son, and hanging in the hot tub, made our trip amazing. We loved taking walks around the property and actually saw a Lesser Weasel running down the creek bed one morning! Check in and check out went smoothly, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. With a short drive to West Jefferson, our favorite little town in the mountains, we will definitely be back!!

New Years Getaway

The property was exactly what we were looking for. The house was perfect for a couples’ getaway. Location was convenient to downtown. We enjoyed local breweries and wineries. Would love to return in the fall to enjoy the fire pit out by the river. The house was extremely clean. Had everything we needed. The hot tub cover was a bit in need of repair but the water felt very relaxing. All in all a great stay.

Vday Weekend

It was a great time here. We were off the grid and enjoyed every minute. Walmart was ten minutes away and the house had more than enough dishes for us to eat all weekend. It was a great stay. Something I would suggest to anyone renting this cabin be sure to have a 4 wheel drive or ll wheel drive vehicle.

Our happy place

This was our second year staying at Autumn mist and it has quickly become our favorite place. Our dog absolutely loves having space to run and water to play in. This area has beautiful views and people. We will continue making this our fall getaway!
