Great oceanfront first floor two bedroom, full view of the pool, beach and ocean, family rates. Choice of king or twin beds in the second bedroom.
If your idea of a beach vacation does NOT include crowded beaches, high rise buildings (that have lines for the elevator - there is NO elevator in this building), traffic, and cruising through a multilevel parking garage trying to find a place to park, this is your vacation home. Cape Coddages II has only 14 units and this condo is just one flight up. Why search for a parking place when you can stay where two parking spaces are specifically marked for you? This is a delightful oceanfront two bedroom with a great pool, and the perfect beach and ocean view.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, large TV, ample closet space and a full bath. The second bedroom has twin beds (with the option to convert to a king upon request - please email southmb@itrip.net to add this to your booking - $15 fee) and a bathroom close by. The living room couch is a full size sleeper sofa. This is a great condo for families or couples. The kitchen has plenty of counter top space and the full complement of cooking equipment, dishes and glassware.
The swimming pool is exclusively for guests at the small Cape Coddages II complex, it won't be crowded. You can relax on the lounge chairs while the kids swim. After enjoying the beach, there is an enclosed shower area beneath the building to wash off the ocean and sand. Here, every day offers a choice of shopping, golf, and attractions from the convenient Surfside Beach location, or just relaxing on the balcony or the beach enjoying the sunshine. Pool is not heated and closes during the off-season.
Surfside Beach is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer. The Surfside Beach pier, restaurants and shops are a few blocks south from Cape Coddages II. Water slides and amusement parks that kids love are right out on business 17. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. Just a short drive north are all the attractions, dining, shopping and nightlife of Myrtle Beach; Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, amusement parks, and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it's just a few minutes south.
It's easy to see that family oceanfront memories will be made here, is it not?

Absolutely loved our stay at this beachfront condo. Everything was great!! Would suggest seating outside that isn’t so low so you can see the ocean when sitting, but other than that— excellent!
Even though the weather was not the best we had a nice place to stay. The view was wonderful as you were right over the pool and had a clear view of the ocean. Nice accommodations and the pictures are very accurate.
The storage unit in this place is a lifesaver! No carrying all your beach stuff up the stairs and no getting the sand in your room! We enjoyed the stay and will be back.
Great location. Loved being so close to the beach!

Hi Sharon, and SO glad you enjoyed the property and the amazing beach!
Please come back and visit us again soon, and until then, have a wonderful rest of your summer! :-)
This is a great place to stay if you want to be away from all the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach. More family oriented and less crowded. I love that is like a small apartment, that way you can cook if you don’t want to go out.

Thank you, Chantai, and we couldn't agree more!! :-)
Appreciate your kind feedback and hope you will come and visit us again soon!
Stay was great, only reason not 5 Star has to do with the leaking Shower and visible mold in the ceiling. We all suffer terrible allergies and this just added to the situation. Location was perfect, as was the Itrip team.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We apologize for the leaking shower head and are glad you let us know so we could take care of it. We had mold testing done and the spots on the ceiling were NOT mold, rather just typical mildew that happens when patio doors are left open, increasing the moisture in the unit. All of these issues have been addressed and we look forward to seeing you next year!
Enjoyed first week. Had to leave before 2nd week, due to westher

Nice location
Good location, right on the beach. The unit is cozy with a beachy theme. It met our needs for a long weekend. The few concerns we had were met quickly - an unsafe outlet that maintenance replaced, and an odor on the back deck. Could be from all the rain on the carpet. Having two marked car spots was a plus!

Thank you so much for your kind words and we'd love to have you back!
Until then, have a wonderful Fall! :-)
An older property built probably in the 80’s, but very nice on the inside. Was very clean with nice touches. Beach front with a shared pool which served us well since we had 4 kids. Plenty of room for all to sleep. Great communication from owner the whole way. It was listed on vrbo thru iTrip, which has a local office in Garden City which was very convenient if we had any issues. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and feel like we got a lot for our money.
This was our 1st time in Myrtle Beach since 2011. We were very pleased with the condo we rented. It was very clean, and equipped with everything you would need. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need as well, just like being at home and we didn’t have to purchase anything one might forget going on vacation. It was a nice little surprise finding all the menus for all the dining areas around weather for take out or to dine in at. We loved having the beach within walking distance and pool right there as well, we enjoyed them both. When we decide to go back to Myrtle Beach we will definitely rent the same place again.

We were able to find this property and book it very promptly and last minute, with ease. The reviews from 2022 left us skeptical but the 2023 reviews improved our confidence as it was clear that the 2022 issues were addressed. The property was very clean and very well appointed with everything needed to make our stay comfortable and stress free. The property management was sincerely interested in our satisfaction with our accommodations. We hope to be able to book this property at some future date.
This place was great. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could need to cook and there were so many things provided. The beds were comfortable and the the place was extremely clean. The balcony and view were great and the kids enjoyed the pool. You are practically on top of the beach it is so close. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the ocean views with our coffee and watching the moon come up in the evenings. The only problem we had was there was a smell of cat urine on the balcony which was very strong, not sure if the people before us had a cat with them or not but that was the only negative and that was not much of a problem. We are thinking of booking again next summer.

Hey Eric,
We are thrilled that you and your family had a wonderful stay, and everything was to your liking! :-)
However, we were so sorry to hear of the "cat urine smell" you experienced on the balcony, as pets are not allowed on this property and would have resulted in a fine. We are looking into this and very much appreciate you bringing it to our attention. On a side note, we did have a recent balcony cleaning project and wonder if the smell was that of the strong ammonia used.
In any case, thank you again and please come back and see us!
Take care!
Love cleanliness of beach and ocean
Would not rent this particular unit again.

Hey Sue - thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are sorry to hear that you were not in love with this unit. Cape Codddages II is an older building BUT it's the charm of these older buildings that keep people wanting more of Surfside Beach. So many dislike the newer, hard to find parking, hustle and bustle high rise buildings that they flock to these smaller/older/quiet buildings. They are definitely not for everyone but we sure love them;)
I will start with the good. Close to the beach, very nice master bathroom shower. Now for the not so good. Upon our arrival the GPS didn't take us to the Itrip vacations office. We called the two numbers to get directions and weren't called back. We finally stopped at a business that knew the location. Once we arrived we found many problems. Broken kitchen floor tile, dust everywhere, black mold several places on the ceiling, the master bathroom fan was clicking and after the first day it blew out plastic chunks. I called Itrip 5 times in 25 minutes with no answer or call back. I called the emergency number and a handyman answered and fixed it on the third day. Master bedroom closet ceiling had fallen in and there was lots of plaster that had fallen on contents and floor, the ceiling was covered with black mold. With the cost of the condo we were very disappointed in the shape of this property. I have owned rental cabins in the mountains for 20+ years and can't imagine renting this cabin to anyone until repairs are made.
We enjoyed our first trip to Myrtle/Surfside. Definitely preferred being in Surfside, away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle. Easy drive to attractions and dining. House was fine…seemed a bit dated and could use some modernization (VCR and cassette player?!?!?) and upkeep to fix cracked tiles and peeling, dated wallpaper. Would have loved to be able to store our beach gear in the storage closet too! The beach is right there though and the pool is nice.
The place was very clean and had everything we needed. We had six people, and everyone was happy. One thing that needs updated is the pull-out bed from the sofa. You could feel the springs, but we just put a lot of blankets down. It could also use some taller chairs for the porch. However, other than that, it was pretty awesome. We enjoyed the view and how close we were to the pool and ocean.
This was about timing. There is a bridge closure near the property. Just ahead of bike week, the location was super quiet.
The place is about 20 years old. Some areas have new replacements. The place was well cleaned as far as servicrs go. The down side was only VCR player. Fireplace is not working but it is still summer weather. There are lots of beach decorations that are getting old and quite frankly everything needs a washdown because of lack of attention.
The good is the location
