Villa Casa Maria promises endless views in front of Beach . This beautiful and tranquil private gated home is a getaway vacation home with soft Caribbean breezes where you can enjoy the panoramic vistas of the blue sparkling sea as well as have fun adventuring to attractions from this Caribbean villa haven. You can lay back on a hammock on its second floor balcony or watch the wide open 360 degree canopy of stars which fill the Caribbean sky from the third floor sundeck.

Villa Casa Maria is an affordable and comfortable vacation home nesting in a beautiful location where you will revel in the wondrous memories created during your Puerto Rican vacation. Our house caretaker will welcome you and will be available to assist you throughout your stay.

Offering a full array of amenities, Villa Casa Maria can accommodate 10 to 14 guests. Delight in the roominess of Villa Casa Maria’s 4000 sq. ft. of living space as well as its 1100 sq. ft. of outdoor balconies to relax and soak up the Caribbean sun and salt air. With 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms it has two separate living quarters with full kitchens and baths on two levels.

The Villa Casa Maria property is secured with an ADT system with a remote controlled gate access with a privacy wrought iron and walled enclosure. As you enter its handsomely tiled driveway you will see landscaped grounds lined with a variety of Caribbean Palms and island flora. The tropical climate creates magnificent cloud formations in the sky that are mesmerizing. Far from big city lights, the moon over Camuy is spectacular.

Awake in the morning to Caribbean sunlight, with gentle breezes swaying the towering palm trees fronds. After breakfast, go horseback riding or walk on the Amador Point Beach or explore nearby adventures in the areas local island culture, including the markets, fishing, snorkeling, surfing, ice-skating, golfing and whale watching or visit the Arecibo Observatory and Light House, Tortuguero Lagoon Natural Reserve, (wetland, habitat and nesting for aquatic wildlife) and Rio Camuy Cave Park (underground water caves),
Cambalathe Forest (mountain biking, hiking and bird-watching.) You may too want to take an island ferry or a day trip by boat.

One of the best must see sightseeing trips is to Rio Camuy Cave Park. Directions are: from Arecibo, on the north shore, go southwest along Route 129 to the Park. The park is an incredible 268-acre site of the subterranean caverns which were carved out over one million years ago by the Camuy River. The impeccably maintained trails descend 200 feet through a fern filled ravine and down to the cathedral-like caverns.

The Rio Camuy Caves is a fascinating hidden underground world. One such unique species found there are fish that are totally blind. Rio Camuy Cave Park is the third-largest cave system in the world. Sixteen entrances have been explored with 11 kilometers (7 miles) of passages. is A special attraction is The Cueva Clara with a passage of 695 feet (210m) in length. At the park there are picnic areas, walking trails, food facilities, an exhibition hall and a souvenir shop. This a very interesting way to spend an entire day. This park is naturally very popular, so reservations are must. Open Wednesdays through Sundays and holidays; 8am to 4pm.

Porta del sol is a wonderful area to explore the beautiful beaches of Puerto Rico.

Villa Casa Maria is AMAZING!!!
Villa Casa Maria EXCEEDED my expectations in many ways. From the initial booking to the day we left the house, the entire experience was flawless. Tony, the owner of the property is a delight. This is not just a property that he rents out, this house is a home he cares deeply about and it shows. As soon as I submitted a booking request, Tony called me and we talked at length about the property and the area. It definitely put my mind at ease as this was my first time renting a vacation property. As the date approached, Tony called to provide further details and Tono’s contact information. Tono, the caretaker met us on arrival day and gave us the tour of the house. He was very pleasant and eager to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Casa Maria is a large three story home with plenty of room to accommodate my large group of 11 people very comfortably. The 1st floor has a family, full kitchen, small dining area, full bath, 2 bedrooms and laundry room. The 2nd floor is where we spent the majority of the time. WE LOVED THIS SPACE. It is very open and filled with lots of natural light coming from the many large windows. The 2nd floor has a full kitchen with a larger dining area & an island with stools for additional sitting. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the essentials. The 2nd floor has a family area, full bath & three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed; the other two bedrooms have a twin bed w/trundle. The 2nd floor leads to a large balcony where we enjoyed coffee in the morning & good conversation in the evening. On the 3rd floor, there is a small room with two daybeds. This room is not air conditioned but has lots of windows to allow a nice breeze to flow in. The 3rd floor leads to two balconies where you can enjoy a partial beach view. The beach is within walking distance if you don’t mind the very steep hill. Very close to the house is a wonderful bakery. Not far is “El Fogon de Abuela” where we had our father’s day dinner, outdoor seating facing the ocean. Casa Maria is a wonderful home with lots of great amenities. The house is very clean and well taken care of. The neighborhood is quiet & I felt extremely safe. The beach is clean & beautiful. There’s a lot to see and do within a short drive. I will absolutely rent this property again and will highly recommend it to anyone. You will not be disappointed. Tony, thank you for letting my family enjoy your home.

Puerto Rico Golf Trip with the guys
We visited Puerto Rico (PR) in early March for a golf trip. Seven guys stayed in Camuy at a nice house just outside the center of the small town. The owner Anthony was extremely helpful and attentive for any questions we had about Puerto Rico or the local area of Camuy. The housekeeper/neighbor Tonio was also helpful once we arrived. He showcased the house and jumped in the car to show us the local supermarket, bakery, and restaurant. The area is quaint and off the beaten path. Do not expect any touristy type traps in Camuy. The locals are friendly and because we were there during the middle of the week it was especially quiet (except for the one neighbor’s roosters-you get used to them). In addition to the bakery and local restaurants there was also a small local bar/restaurant on the beach. The house was a nice size for our group. If traveling as couples there would be plenty of space for additional people (2/bed in several bedrooms). The porches were great, kitchens and bedrooms were nice sized, and the breeze off the ocean made it comfortable throughout the house with or without the A/C (even with some humidity). The beach is a one-minute drive from the house or short walk down the hill. We felt safe in the area and access to the main highway was 10-15 minutes away depending on the traffic. The golf courses in Dorado (50-60 minute drive) are beautiful – especially the East course. We also played Punta Borinquen on the west coast (50-60 minute drive). Punta Borinquen was worth playing for the price and views although the conditions and greens were not great – one round was enough. Use Caribe Golf to get some good deals on the pricier courses. Rob was fantastic to work with but you need to be a little bit flexible on when you play. We also highly recommend Toro Verde (50-60 minute drive) to zip line – truly incredible. Driving in PR is interesting but didn’t take long to adjust. Overall a great trip and enjoyed the island.

Extraordinary!
When my family was planning a getaway for Mom's 80th birthday, we needed to find somewhere that could accommodate as many as 18 people; no small task. Once we settled on Puerto Rico, there were few rentals that suited our needs. When I inquired about Villa Casa Maria, owner Tony immediately responded, first via email, then on the phone. Also from a large family, he immediately put our fears to rest. His home was large, had plenty of sleeping space, two bathrooms (a VERY big deal!) and walking distance to the beach and local eateries. Once we booked the rental, he followed up with me repeatedly to keep us updated and answer any questions. Normally about an hour's drive from SJU airport, on a Thursday afternoon in rush hour traffic it took us almost two. After getting lost once or twice despite GPS, we finally arrived, and caretaker Antonio was waiting for us. He is an absolute treasure! He got us settled, gave us the "lay of the land," and then escorted us to the local bakery to try to get some supper. Despite the bakery workers' protestations about the late hour (they were closing in an hour), Antonio sweet-talked them into making a dozen sandwiches. You can't ask for better than that! Over the entire stay, he checked in with us daily to make sure we were happy. Any issues with the house were resolved in a timely manner, although that was really only a few non-working lights. The man is worth his weight in gold. The home itself is gorgeous: 6 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, three balconies. It's a short walk down a steep hill to the beach, and just a few miles from Hatillo and Arecibo. Between my Spanish and my sister's Portuguese, we were able to easily interact with the locals, although most people have a least a basic command of English. Rincon is a 45 minute drive. The bakery at the foot of the hill was a daily visit for the most amazing fresh-baked bread (a very large loaf is $2!). I can't say enough about Tony, Antonio, and Villa Casa Maria. We will definitely visit Puerto Rico again, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else but here.

Beautiful home
My husband and I had the opportunity to spend a week at Casa Maria. We were impressed by the immensity of the house! It was clean and accomodating, and the kitchen was well stocked with essential utensils and cookwarw. We cooked most of our meals and enjoyed the ocean view while eating outside on the upper level and then lazing on the hammock afterwards enjoying the sweet carribean breeze. The house is in front of the beach and is an easy walk down the hill. The weather, while hot during June, was enjoyable because the ocean is so fresh and inviting. One of the best things about our stay is getting to meet Tonio, the caretaker. He even took us on an excursion to try to catch octopus! He is extremely welcoming but he also knew when to give us privacy. Having a car is definitely needed as there are so many other beaches along the coast to explore, some more private than others. The nearby beach is quiet and tranquil and can afford as much privacy as you like, especially if you walk further along the shore. It's like having your own piece of paradise at Casa Maria!

Absolutely amazing experience all around!
Where do I start? I never leave reviews, but my experience with Anthony and my stay in his incredible home necessitates some sort of expression of gratitude. I frequently travel to Puerto Rico for work where I conduct ecological research with college undergraduate and graduate students. As such, I have rented houses across the island and they all pale in comparison to my experience in Villa Casa Maria. There are just so many great aspects to this home that no description or gallery of pictures can fully do it justice. Firstly, this is a beautiful home, not just some rundown rental house. The entire house was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated throughout. Even the driveway was spotless, no joking. The house was also fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, even for larger groups. Speaking of group size, Villa Casa Maria is absolutely enormous and I never felt cramped throughout our entire stay. The multitude of decks and living spaces allowed for privacy despite having over ten adults for nearly two weeks. I was always able to find a quiet corner or sun deck when needed to relax or Skype home to the family on the WIFI. The house and neighborhood were also incredibly safe and secluded despite being a few minutes from everything you could possibly ask for (e.g., grocery, bakery, beach). If you have never been to Camuy, you will not be disappointed with the abundance of attractions and natural beauty the area offers. Finally, Villa Casa Maria has so many extras that you don’t find in other rentals. For instance, the house is looked after by Antonio, an incredibly friendly and informative neighbor down the street who was available at any time (I still have is cell phone number). You’ll be hard to find a nicer place or owner at this rate anywhere, not just Puerto Rico. Villa Casa Maria deserves far more than 5 stars!

Home away from Home
I would like to start letting you know how I came across Villa Casa Maria en Camuy, Puerto Rico. It was 4 a.m., I was inside the rental vacation house, in Rincon, Puerto Rico when we decided that the house we rented was not for us because of many reasons (cleanliness, and security was a major concern for various reasons). We contacted, Anthony owner of Villa Casa Maria en Camuy. The homeowner called me immediately, after submitting my request for availability. When I arrived at Villa Casa Maria, I thought I was renting a mansion. This is a beautiful 5 bedroom home, with many windows that allow the beautiful Puerto Rico sun illuminate your boudoir. The house contains a sun roof that allowed my niece and nephew get a beautiful glowing sun tan. This home has positive energy pouring out with the décor and harmonious color schemes that help sooth your mood. It has a full washer and dryer that helped maintain our bathing suits and towels clean for the beach that is approximately a two minute walk. The house is kept in terrific maintenance and cleaned by Antonio (housekeeper) who lives across for convenience, and is extremely knowledgeable about the area. My family and I vacationed here for Five days and I cannot express how grateful and appreciative I am to Anthony and Antonio for allowing us to enjoy the rest of our vacation. Everything that Anthony had spoken about over the phone was accurate. I felt completely safe that we did not even have to close the garage door at night. This area is residential and the residents here know one another and are very friendly. The location is ideal for vacation renters because this is located about 6 minutes from the major highway, you can drive to the Saldineras beach which is about 12 minutes, or walk to the beach near the house which take about 2 minutes. There is a bakery that opens until 10 p.m. and you can get bread, pastries and sandwiches as well as emergency hygienic products approximately a minute away. The supermarket is approximately a 3 minute drive which is extremely convenient for those who rather save money and cook their meals at home, and Banco Popular bank is right near it. In conclusion, Villa Casa Maria is the vacation rental home to be at if you are wanting a real Puerto Rico vacation. This place has everything that the perfect vacation rental should contain. I will rent this vacation home once again!

Beautiful Beach House
Villa Casa Maria is a beautiful spot and perfect location to explore the west coast of Puerto Rico. The house is perfect for a large group, with two levels and plenty of rooms. It is modern and fully stocked and has everything you need to stay connected or get away, wifi, a/c, two kitchens, tv and dvd etc. The roof deck is a beautiful spot to watch the sunset and look at the stars. The caretaker was very friendly and took us on a tour of the town, local beach and bakery upon arrival. He was available to answer any questions. We felt safe and comfortable during our lovely stay. This house is perfect for a family getaway to really explore the island, away from the crazy tempo of San Juan. The local beach is a close walk away and has several fun beach shacks. We also visited Playa Jobos for surfing lessons. There are also several incredible beaches near Rincon and Isabel worth exploring. We also did horseback riding in Isabel, visited the Camuy caves, hiking to a local waterfall and visited a coffee plantation. We stayed for ten days and this house was a perfect base for our Puerto Rican get away. Lovely home and island!

Great Vacation Setting
I enjoyed this lovely Villa and this area of Camuy, Puerto Rico so much. The Villa is spacious, clean and has allot of amenities. A caretaker met us upon arrival to assist us in any way. The beach is a short walk. Day trips to various attractions are plentiful. Horseback riding nearby was fun, especially riding along the beach. The freshest of seafood is available-right by a beach where the fishermen come in. The best Red Snapper ever was a super treat. Overlooking the ocean with wonderful views, I painted some beautiful scenes. I liked that it was quiet and serene away from crowds, yet it was convenient to shopping and activities in Camuy as well as day trip adventures.

Perfect for our family getaway on the western side
This property is very well maintained with tons of space. We had 10 staying in it and had room to spare. It has 2 kitchens - one on the first floor and one on the 2nd floor. It is about 3 blocks from the beach. (you can walk to the beach, however, there is a very steep hill, so I would recommend taking your car) All the rooms have individual AC controls throughout for your comfort. The property is gated for added security. We mainly used the second floor kitchen, it is actually bigger. WiFi plus 2 large screen tvs. Everyone loved the hammock off the 2nd floor balcony. In the evenings, we enjoy going to third floor and using one of the two balconies to enjoy the views and the night sky. There is a bakery just around the corner- so great. Try their sugar donuts and Monte Cristo Sandwiches - YUM> This property is about 1.5 hours west of San Juan. This is a place to getaway from the hustle and bustle. If you want to enjoy the west side of the island this is your place. We enjoyed the Rio Camuy Caves (about 30 min drive) and Crash Boat Beach. The town of Hatillo is about 15 minutes away - they have Walmart, Walgreens, and other type shopping. Also in Hatillo you have to try the Mofongo at El Truco de Guin. We got the mixed Mofongo - 1 with Shrimp and 1 with beef. Our favorite. Great food at The Cheesecake Shoppe in Isabela. The only change I would have made was we should have stayed the first night in San Jaun to be closer to the rainforest and El Morro, then go over to the house for the rest of the week. The traffic is a little crazy and it took us about 2 hours to get over to the other side of the island. Also, be prepared for the narrow side roads that are in these towns. The main highways are fine - but the roads that lead to these beach towns are tiny, winding and narrow. When I was first driving, these narrow roads, made me nervous and it took a little bit to get use to it. Arriving at night, our google maps took us a confusing way to the house and I was a little nervous driving through the tiny streets of Camuy. This house is wonderful, but off the beaten path. We ended up spending a lot of time in the car. Use trip adviser to help you find places to eat. The manager of the property is the sweetest. He walked down with us the first morning to the bakery and the beach. So kind - to show us the safest part of the beach and where there are currents to stay away from.
