We are Colin and Tracey Evans, a busy fourth generation farming family located at Pantygoitre Farm between Abergavenny and Usk. We farm Beef, Sheep and Arable and are proud of what we do endeavouring to keeping the highest standards and working in harmony with nature. Nearly 20 years ago we decided to future proof the business and Swameadow Cottages evolved. Initially we had the very rare opportunity to purchase Swanmeadow Fishing Lodge and a mile of exceptional fishing rights within our farm. So good a location that it featured in Trout and Salmon Magazine several times. From having a successful fishing lodge with paying fishing guests who also raved about our location we decided to convert some disused traditional farm buildings into high quality holiday cottages. We were new to the hospitality business but with 85% of our lodge guests returning every year-we thought we must be doing something right! With the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains in our eyeline, a world heritage site at Blaenavon a stone's throw away, fabulous walking and cycling routes all on the doorstep of Abergavenny, a famous food and historical destination. So, in a nutshell we try to be helpful and friendly hosts who are knowledgeable about the area and will try and point you in the right direction to give you a holiday experience just right for you.
