Double Booked

I never got to stay there because they double booked. And apparently I'm not the only one this has happened to. Don't book here because your stay will just end up being cancelled.

Double booked and left family of 5 stranded

I booked this property a few days before our trip as the original Vrbo property that I booked canceled on us less than one week before our trip. I called this property the day before to verify the booking. The women I spoke to verified that it was all set and let me know they don’t send check in details until the day of. When our flight arrived, I called about an early check in and the same women said they don’t have a listing on Vrbo. I sent her screen shots and she explained that the property was double booked with someone else and said her best advice would be to contact Vrbo for another property. *Note, in this situation Verbo’s customer support is horrible! I had to call back 5 different times and spent over 4 hours trying to find a solution. The call kept getting disconnected since I would be on hold for so long and no one ever called back (even though they ask for a call back number and assure they will). Each time you call, you talk to a different representative and have to start from the beginning providing all your information and the property information. The third and fourth person I spoke with deemed us “stranded travelers” and said they would be sending us hotel options for one night and alternative properties for the rest of our stay. We never received any emails. The fifth person we spoke with did help us book a hotel room for one night but said we would receive an email with alternate bookings the next day before check out. Again, that never came.

Double Booked?

I booked this property back in July. The day of check in at 9am I receive a phone call that there's somebody in there already so we can't check in at 3, but oh they'll find us something else in the complex. He had my phone number and was told he could text me as well. I sent multiple texts asking for an update and placed multiple calls throughout the day, every hour or two. I was ignored all day aside from one text saying "I'm looking into it" at 11am. Eventually we had to find a hotel room and I had to call VRBO and of course he immediately picks up for them. The girl who helped us was extremely kind and helpful in getting our refund started. But I am severely disappointed as I booked July 6th for a stay the second to last weekend in October yet nobody could notify of a booking issue until the morning of?
