Fun precursor to Joshua Tree
What a perfect place to stay for a family with a 9 and 5 year old. We slept here the night before we went into the park, and the area surrounding the yard was amazing for them to practice their rock climbing skills. The house was clean and had everything we needed (fully stocked kitchen) including a Brita which was clutch for filling water bottles before heading into the park. After dinner we laid in the hammocks and stargazed and I could see constellations I’ve never been able to see before, like the stars that make up the bull’s eyes in Taurus. Would have stayed out all night but it got really cold. The garage also is converted into a game room and we didn’t realize it was accessible to us till the morning, The kids enjoyed the foosball table. Comfy beds too. The door in the back gate in the yard (shown as open in the pics) was locked, but it was easy to walk around from the front of the house so no big deal. If out there with little kids, just watch out for the cholla cacti, the big ones are easy to see but a few baby ones almost got our toes. If I’d had a young toddler it would have been a bit harder to navigate. Lily was super helpful when I called to get the door code. Overall great stay.
