Located in New Orleans, this bed & breakfast is in the city centre. Port of New Orleans and Julia Street Cruise Terminal are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Mississippi River and Jackson Square. Looking to enjoy an event or a game? See what's going on at Caesars Superdome or Smoothie King Center. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with ecotours nearby.
Standing on the Lanaux Mansion property, the Marigny Maisonette guesthouse is your secret oasis at the heart of all the Big Easy action; a calm, quiet eye in the whirlwind of music and celebration that is the Faubourg Marigny.
Sitting in our lush gardens with just the trickling of the fountain to soothe your soul, it’s hard to believe the French Quarter is less than a block away in one direction, and jazzy Frenchmen Street just a few steps in the other.
But that’s the beauty of this secluded garden escape, centrally located yet all but hidden from the bustling world outside.

What began as modest servant quarters in the 18th century has evolved over the decades to become the one-of-a-kind place it is today — a three-story, two-bedroom guesthouse just brimming with eclectic charm.
On the ground floor, the kitchen and living room invite cozy gathering, with updated appliances, a thoughtfully arranged dining area, and fully stocked dishes and utensils — not to mention a smart HDTV for your favorite streaming services. Wi-fi, laundry facilities, and central heating and cooling are just a few of the other comforts you’ll find.
Just outside the French doors, the spacious, leafy courtyard offers plenty of room for relaxed coffees and cocktails, plus a grill for cooking out.
When it’s time to rest up, pull out the queen-sized sofa sleeper, or ascend the unique spiral staircase to the two levels above, each equipped with sunny sitting areas, garden-facing balconies, private bathrooms, HDTVs, and luxurious queen beds for deep, carefree slumber. There’s even a comfy futon bed on the third floor for an additional guest.

Prized for its sense of peace and seclusion, the house has long played host to a revolving cast of travelers and colorful local characters — including artists, playwrights, TV producers, and war heroes. Most notably, New Orleans businessman Clay Shaw sought refuge here after being accused in the murder of JFK. (He was quickly acquitted.)
Nowadays, this graceful property with its shaded courtyards is the perfect dreamy hideaway for visitors like you; visitors who love all the music, fun, and excitement New Orleans has to offer, but who also want a place to relax.
Never before available to the public, The Marigny Maisonette is now open for you to come stay. So step inside, drop your bags, and shed your worldly concerns at the door.
