About this property

Gorgeous 3BR/3BA-with 2 balconies! NEW, LOWER PRICES THRU SEPTEMBER!

We now have new, lower prices through September as well as a 20% Discount on Food & Drink as well as Golf!! Located in the Cabrillo building in Phase II, our condominium is an end unit with both a front balcony and a back balcony. Professionally decorated with beautiful furnishings, the living room has a 55" Smart TV with a DVD and home theater stereo system and each bedroom has a 45" Smart TV. The condo has free cable TV and free wireless internet. The Family room and Master bedroom are equipped with blackout blinds to ensure you get a full night's sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with a pass thru window for enjoying meals on the back balcony overlooking the 18 hole Championship Links Golf Course, an unobstructed view of Cholla Bay and, at night, a great view of the city lights. The Dinning area can seat 8 people and the granite counter can seat an additional 4 people. Bathrooms are all travertine tile with large glass door showers and a garden tub in the master, beautiful tile floors through out. The balcony off the Family Room and Master bedroom overlooks the ocean. You cannot appreciate the value of 3 bathrooms and 3 showers until you have a full house. We have a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.

Las Palomas sets and controls all rental rates, including the rates which condo owners can charge for their units. When you book directly with an owner you get the lowest rate allowed. Las Palomas requires a 50% deposit at time of booking and collects the balance upon check-in.
If you are using an internet travel site, such as Vrbo or Air B&B, you will pay substantially higher prices because of their service fees and additional Mexican taxes. You will also pay the full price at time of booking.

Las Palomas is a luxurious, 342 acre, gated, master-planned resort on the white sandy beach of the Sea of Cortez, a championship golf course, on-site lobby check-in, on-site restaurant, fitness center, sundries/gift shop, underground parking. Relax on the beach, swim in the sea or lounge around the well appointed pool areas featuring a negative edge pools, hot tubs and swim-up bar with drinks and food.

The condo was great, kitchen tools were stocked and the condo was neat and clean. Beds were super comfortable! Maintenance with the building was disappointing. We called about a bad smell and a missing ceiling panel in the master bath. Seemed to be a lot of finger pointing but no fixing of the problem.

Nice condo, classic Mexico

The condo is nice and pretty well stocked. There is good separation between the kids rooms and the master. The view from the balcony is beautiful. We were there on a busy weekend so the check-in process was crazy slow. One of the elevators kept breaking all weekend so getting to and from the room (on the 15th floor) was a little rough. We also had an incident twice where our room keys wouldn’t work. This stuff is common in Mexico so it is to be expected, just annoying. Overall we enjoyed our stay though.

What happened???

The resort itself is fabulous. But like the US, be ready to pay more for less service. The elevator was not working, the water pump broke, and there were no filters for the coffee maker. Is this a deal breaker... probably not. Things break. My expectation was for someone to reach out to me and offer some sort of credit. I was hopeful, but putting away pom poms.

Check in process horrible it seems as the staff does not know what you’re doing. One of the doors jammed and maintenance had to remove the door knob of bathroom and put it in the bedroom dryer it took at least 3 to 4 spins for clothes to be dry every day we had to be asking for trash bags

Perfect getaway

Stayed many times at phase II. The weather was perfect and the accommodations we as advertised. Owner was very prompt and accomodating. A bit on the pricey side, but what isn't pricey these days. Also, it was my mistake for not paying closer attention... this condo is not the beachfront building...it's in the back. It is nice being able to see the beach and the backside too. My only frustration is how slow the checking process is. Obviously not the owners fault but Las Palomas has 8 people behind the counter working and only 3 customers checking in at a time. Spending about 30mins for each customer. Hope the self check ins will be operational soon.

Great view and condo!

Highly recommend staying at this spacious 3 bedroom and bath condo on the 15th floor. The condo was nicely appointed with even an apple slicer provided! You will need to bring your own storage bags, aluminum foil, and seasonings. Looking forward to returning to this condo in the future!

Perfect Place for the 4th

Had a fantastic 4th of July. This unit in Las Palomas had more than enough room for 5 people. Nice view of the beach from 2 different angles (didn't realize the 2nd patio had a beach view until the 2nd or 3rd day). The boys loved the bunk beds in this unit too. As always Las Palomas was great. They put on a firework show on the 4th and the pools and oceans were perfect. Already looking forward to my next trip back, and will very likely rebook this same unit.

The unit was a great set up for us, although we spent very little time in it besides sleeping. We were wanting a place with twin beds or bunks which worked out nicely as well as the three bathrooms. The only thing I would recommend for guests is to have the basics such as salt, pepper and maybe some spices and olive oil. We’ve stayed at several units at las Paloma’s and many have had incidentals which are nice to not have to worry about. My parents own a place as well and understand it’s difficult to keep stocked but they’ve found ways to let renters have access to the extras. Otherwise the kitchen was well stocked and unit was clean.

Why they chose this property

We have looked at all the resorts at Sandy Beach and found Las Palomas the very BEST! We have 5 condos here: an ocean front 1 bedroom unit which sleeps 4 persons; an ocean front 2 bedroom/2 bath unit with an extra 1/2 bedroom which sleeps 6; an ocean front 3 bedroom/2 bath unit which sleeps 8; this unit which a large 2,100 square foot ocean view 3 bedroom/3 bath unit and sleeps 8 and finally an ocean front 5 bedroom/ 5 1/2 bath penthouse which sleeps up to 12 persons.
The resort is family oriented with its Lazy River slide, pools, play areas, beach and activities in the afternoons. It is very well taken care of and it is very safe with its security system in place.

What makes this property unique

Just over an hours drive from the US boarder, you will arrive at a small, quaint fishing village on the Sea of Cortez. A very safe place, very friendly people, great local restaurants with oh so fresh seafood just caught to share with your friends and family or buy your fresh seafood, fruits and vegetables to prepare at our beautiful condo. A peaceful, low key place to relax and enjoy your friends and family. Our condo is part of the Las Palomas rental pool so that when you rent our condo you will have full access to all of the resort amenities
