Quick trip from PA for a cousins wedding and we enjoyed our stay very much. House was spotless, very nicely decorated, comfortable beds, welcome basket with snacks and drinks. Would recommend this little house to anyone looking for a place to stay for a getaway!
This property was clean and quiet however, there wasn't a firepit in the yard as shown in pictures. The host was on property a good portion of the morning on my last full day doing maintenance which was disruptive to my stay and sense of privacy.
Very clean and nice house. Good choice for the mountains or if you have a lake nearby. We traveled with 4 adults and the one bathroom had a place for everything. The AC is window AC units and there are celing fans but the small bedroom has neither and a table fan should be provided for when it is very hot. Washer/dryer helpful. Easy check-in and out.
This is are second time staying here, as it is so near the Tilton Home where my father is. We like to cook and have dinner and time together. All in all a nice place to stay. Everything you need. Only "con" are steep steps inside and out that could be a problem for mobility impaired or children.Onlsteep. so ellittle kids.
We had such a wonderful time at our stay in Tilton. Quick dad/ son mountainbike getaway weekend at Highland, so this made for the perfect location only 10 minutes from the hill. The home is clean, cool and comfortable. Pictures don't do it justice- it's nicer than it appears online. Bill was also quick to call with a question I had. I highly recommend this place for small and medium size groups visiting the Tilton area. Thank you!
Top-Notch Stay with a Five-Star Host – We’ll Be Back!
Our stay at this VRBO in Tilton was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful personal touches—like the welcome basket filled with snacks, which made us feel instantly at home. The furnishings were incredibly comfortable, and the entire property was spotless and well-appointed.One morning we woke up to find the heat wasn’t working—a curveball no one wants on vacation—but within just a couple of hours, Bill and his son-in-law Alex were at the property and had it fixed quickly and professionally. Their responsiveness and genuine care made a lasting impression.Bill is a truly outstanding host. His attention to detail and warm hospitality made this trip special for us. The next time we’re in Tilton, we’ll absolutely check to see if this property is available. Highly recommended!
Loved the location of this duplex home, right off the main street running between Franklin and Tilton. It has been maintained very well, was very clean, and has charm. There is access to the river by foot, it was so pretty.
However, this place is not for those with disabilities as there are stairs just to get in, and also up to the bedrooms and the bathroom. Also, if you are taller than 5'8", be prepared to duck going up and down the stairs.
Our only complaint would be the transitions between some of the rooms, they are like 3/4 inch instead of the normal height and my husband hurt his toe.
