Cute Turtles in Aquarium but ODD Smell

We booked 3 nights. We vacated the property immediately after arriving. The smell, the dirty rag, and the pet droppings were too much. The owner was contacted as we were leaving. The replies were cordial, and a small fraction of the amount spent was refunded. I should have reviewed the photos in more detail. Its not a vacation home but one that the family is willing to leave for a few days. The owner's perfumes and medication were left on the bathroom counter. I am leaving a 3-Star because the owner was easy to work with, however the property still wasn't ready for our stay and not refunding even half of our bill for a stay we didn't use wasn't enough. 3-Stars is the most generous review I can give in good faith.
