What makes this property unique
The house was originally two cabins that were constructed in Palo Duro Canyon during the early 1900's to house the crews who were building the road leading down into the Canyon. In the 1950's the cabins were purchased by West Texas State University and moved into town where they were put together to make the current footprint of the house. They housed professors from WT for many years before the university sold them to private citizens. The house has gone through several remodels and upgrades to its current layout. The hardwood floors in the middle room and kitchen are original from the early 1900'S.
