The space
Set within spacious, gently sloping grounds with lovely views of hills, and ocean, LaVilla, designed by renowned BVI architect Alan Smith, is a great place to unwind. A perfect setting for couples or small family getaway, LaVilla is located on the picturesque north shore of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.


LaVilla is just a short walk to two of the island’s most beautiful beaches: Long Bay, with its mile long white sand and Smugglers Cove, an exquisite beach perfect for sunning and swimming! Guests have the whole property to themselves and it is very private.
Other things to note
The charming garden of mature fruit trees and bright flowering plants reflect harmony with nature. You may be lucky enough to sight a green iguana in the garden or the Blue Heron which visits the pool at dusk!


A delightful feature at the front of the house is the pool, fringed by Christmas Palms, ideal for a refreshing dip or cooling on the pool ledge with a glass at dusk, as you watch the sun set over the hills to the trilling of tree frogs.

The two air-conditioned ground floor bedrooms provide comfortable queen and king sized, four poster beds with a single bed in the middle room for an additional guest. The main bathroom on the ground floor has double sinks and a shower. The mezzanine floor bathroom has a stone clad outdoor shower, adding to the ambience of being in nature.

The spacious and elegant living room upstairs has generous seating with beautiful hand-made hardwood furniture, dining table and chairs for 8, along with a well-equipped kitchen. There is ample cooling from the six ceiling and floor fans to enhance the cross-flow of the ocean breeze. The large verandas on both floors add to the sense of space and feature great views of the lush green hillsides, the sky over the lush Palm Grove and the blue ocean; the islands of Jost Van Dyke and Sandy Spit shimmer in the distance.


LaVilla is walking distance to restaurants, including the Long Bay Beach Resort and Tropical Fusion. More north shore restaurants are just a short drive away in Apple and Carrot Bays. Enjoy a sundowner and local bands in Cane Garden Bay or explore the rest of the BVI by taking a ferry or a day sail to the BVI’s many beautiful outer islands. At LaVilla, the BVI is at your doorstep.
