Casa Carolina, a wine country home.

The space
Casa Carolina is formerly a popular bed and breakfast on the edge of Sebastopol in the Sonoma County wine country. The house is on two private acres nestled in perennial gardens. The views are of gardens, woods and distant views of the mountain range in Santa Rosa. You are very close to downtown Sebastopol but will frequently see fox, deer, and hear the Great Horned Owls.

The property is home to two friendly sheep, and laying hens for your breakfast eggs. There are lots of berries, veggies, and apples to pick during the season. There is a hot tub under the persimmon tree. A caretaker lives part time in a separate area on the property who can assist you with any questions about the home or area.

Sebastopol is an attractive small town with wonderful grocery stores,fruit and vegetable stands and a Sunday Farmers Market. There are excellent small bistros for dining out as well. You can text or call the owner, Carolyn, for dining or activity ideas.

The house has all the beddingb-lankets, down comforters, nice sheets, lots of pillows. We have wifi, cable TV and a blue tooth speaker.

We are very close to countless wineries in the Russian River Appellation, first tasting room is 5 minutes away. Twenty minutes west is the Pacific Ocean in Bodega Bay.

The house is pet friendly with a large fenced yard off the deck from the dining room doors. Also, many children have enjoyed their stay at Casa Carolina.

You can access the gardens front back and side. The lower pasture is available to you to visit the donkeys, all gates must be kept closed. You can go with the caretaker to collect eggs, I'm very careful about keeping chickens in at certain times because of predators.

Additional rules
My cancellation policy is no penalty if you cancel 30 days before but with less than 30 days cancellation you are responsible for the full amount of your stay unless another party books the home.

We need to talk about your pet please. I have an elderly sheep, 2 lambs and 7 hens. I also have a big dog with me in the lower field. If you bring a dog it should be a small dog or mature slow moving older dog for the sake of the other animals. Your dog must be with you at all times outdoors and kept on the yard side of the fence not the pasture side where the sheep are. Your dog needs to leave with you on your outings. Art supplies and toys are for the guests to use. Please don't bring art supplies or indoor toys outside.

Hot tub is ready to go. Groundskeeper will run filter and add what chemicals are needed while you're here. The hot tub has an ozone filter so few chemicals are necessary.

A gardening service comes every Wed. and they take the garbage cans up the hill so please have your trash out to the garage by Wed. AM. Thursday is pickup day and cans will be brought back down Friday morning.

The home feels private and secluded but there are neighboring properties and sound travels. Please be quiet if outside after 10 pm. The house is not a "party house" and is meant to be used and enjoyed primarily by the people who are staying there.


When checking out please leave house as you found it- art supplies put away, furniture if moved please put back, dishes washed and put away, garbage sorted and taken out to bins in the garage, used laundry brought down to back porch.
