A wonderful house to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax. It’s decorated beautifully and has so many different sitting areas. Melissa is a wonderful host and her response time is amazing. It’s our second time here and we can’t wait to come back. Great spot!

What a beautiful home. We had lots of wind and unusually cool weather, but we still had a great time. We did alot of cooking and drinking. Everything you could ask for was in the kitchen. We really enjoyed the monster margarita machine. The decor was right up my alley.

Wonderful spot above beautiful Borrego

We loved this home! From its lovely outdoor areas to the magnificent views, from the excellent kitchen to the perfect dining and sitting areas inside, it was ideal for us. Thanks for making our vacation all we hoped for.

Casa Estrella has great potential. The layout is perfect for privacy. Three primary suites are each in opposite corners of the home. What it lacks is long-term maintenance and basic kitchen/bathroom ingredients to facilitate a comfortable stay. The kitchen had 2 tablespoons of dish detergent in the container, a few tear-off sheets of paper towel, 1 very dull chef knife (no other knives) 3 sets of broken/empty salt and pepper shakers, no napkins, and no oils or other cooking basics. It was written there was to be a "myriad of wonderful spices" which amounted to a meat rub and 3 containers of cinnamon. In addition, one kitchen counter was sticky like pancake syrup and the fluorescent under-cabinet light about was constantly flickering. The kitchen garbage was not emptied. One bathroom had only drip water pressure and the faucet handle spun 360 degrees. The shower bathroom had many cracked tiles, a ripped stiff plastic shower curtain with black mold in the damp folds. The third bathroom had standing water of unknown origin. Towels, especially the pool towels, were threadbare. The flat sheet on the back king bed had a hole big enough for your fist to fit through and a near-dead cockroach in the middle of the bedroom carpet. The garage door opener made such a noisy racket we feared it might seize up and trap our car either inside or out. Light switches were not in obvious locations and while a few were labeled, they all should have been. We will not return.

We found the home to be beautiful and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The pool is not heated. We did enjoy the hot tub. However, the property felt tired and in need of a deep clean. The pool area had worn and some broken furniture, and most of the pool toys and umbrellas were unusable. In the kitchen, the skillets were in poor condition, and the dishwasher didn’t work during our stay. The host did offer to send a handyman. We also noticed ants on the island and cobwebs above the sinks. With some maintenance and a thorough cleaning, this could be a great stay.”

Great Rams Hill House

This is a lovely property with a good view, a nice outdoor pool area and good living space. The main bedroom has a comfortable bed (did not sleep in the others) and the kitchen is adequately stocked with what you need although we did not really do any cooking. Rams Hill is a great, quiet community. Nice for relaxing and enjoying nearby hikes and the desert nature.

Hidden Gem in a Desert Community

The pictures are exactly what the house looks like. It was large, roomy and I love all the Spanish accents tiles and decor. The pool is amazing, and the largest I’ve seen. Star gazing at night is something to experience. This house has it all if you’re looking for a get away, plus a golf course within the neighborhood! Would definitely come back again, thank you for opening your home up to us!

Artfully decorated desert sanctuary with amazing views

I loved everything about this house! The bed was so comfortable, the outdoor seating as well. If you love beautiful desert views and stargazing, this place has two lovely outdr areas that allow views in all directions. I felt very safe inside the gated community. And it was so quiet and peaceful. The host was delightful to communicate with.

Casa de la Estrella

We enjoyed our stay at Casa de la Estrella! Beautiful home with such attention to detail! We had everything we needed for a long weekend…the hot tub was a fantastic spot to look for shooting stars in the Dark Skies - we saw several! Mellisa, the property manager is very responsive and hospitable. Close to all that Borrego offers: restaurants, Sky Art, hiking and off road trails, etc. We would love to stay again!

No Neighbors, Great Views

While you do actually have neighbors, you cannot see them or hear them. You feel as if you have Borrego to yourself. The house is spacious and well-equipped. We look forward to staying here again.

Our Family Stayed 4 nights in this beautiful house located in a great area of Rams Hill. The house layout is Fabolous. we had a minor hiccup but Melissa was very attentive and quick to resolve it. We will be coming back again hopefully soon.

Nice place, we enjoyed it a lot. Only issue was that we found two scorpions on the floor of the bedroom when we woke up the first morning. We killed them right away and it was no big deal, but it could’ve been a big deal if our dog had found them first. Or if a family with small children were the renters, instead of us.

Amazing getaway

Amazing and beautiful home. Well maintained and fully stocked with all the necessary in the kitchen. Melissa was very helpful and responded immediately with any questions or concerns. The beautiful pool was well kept and so was the hot tub. Plenty of outdoor space with beautiful views to the stars at night. All the bedrooms were well appointed and had their own bathroom. Spacious living room with big screen smart TV. Plenty of parking for up to 3 cars. The house is in a gated community but acess was friendly and easy. Highly recommend this beautiful oasis.

Beautiful house-a few problems

Beautiful house. Comfortable beds. Jacuzzi didn’t work which was the main thing we were looking forward to. Pool not heated. Kitchen wasn’t entirely clean. Dirty coffee maker, dirty towels in the washing machine.
