Our charming, comfortable beach house is just a block to the beach in beautiful Kitty Hawk in the Outer Banks. The ocean is still great to swim and surf into October and sometimes November, when you will also find fantastic fishing!

Pool is shared with the homes on our small block, only 14- 20 steps from house (open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Our house is cleaned and disinfected, with several hours between guests and cleaners, so please don’t ask for early check in or late checkout for everyone’s safety.

Please make inquiry rather than booking request as some communication is needed before booking. Contact owner or manager for sales. Cleaners are all charging more due to having to use special procedures against sickness, and the partial weeks that may be possible in September are unfortunately not available for the summer season unless there is a cancellation .

Just 2 to 4 minutes to walk to the ; our area is wonderful for Swimming, Surfing, Suntanning, Shopping, Sightseeing, Body-boarding and Fishing.

We have new cable TV, and Wi-Fi, new queen beds, brighter colors and decor.

We have two bedrooms with queen beds and one full bathroom. Summer rentals are for full weeks only, Saturday to Saturday, unless you see an incomplete week in my calendar. I will make an exception for a Friday checkout. Please, no smoking or pets.

To process any reservation, please click "Contact Owner" and send me a note rather than reservation request. We need to know the ages of guests & where you're coming from.

If you text Sally or Jeff, one of us will call you back as soon as we can. Unfortunately, we are only able to provide you with phone numbers once reservations have been made. We do request text/call 1 - 2 hours before your arrival to make sure our home is ready for you and to get you the new door code.

Our home accommodates 4 - 5 people comfortably; 6 is too many.

Check In: 4 PM to next day. Because of safety precautions, our cleaner disinfects house and specifies no early check in or late check out.

Check out: 10 am FIRM.

2 queen bedrooms and a futon in the living room, 1 bathroom, and a full kitchen, newly updated.

Our beach cottage is comfortable and cheery. A home so close to the ocean that you can hear the waves is so restful after a day sunning, swimming, surfing, shopping, or sightseeing, and we recently got really comfortable queen beds.

Enjoy quiet nights in fall, with super swimming, surfing, sunning, shopping, sightseeing, sunrises (and sunsets on sound side), fishing and dining! Popular surfing area is just a few blocks away.

LINENS PROVIDED. We have bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, sheets and pillowcases, but please bring your own beach towels.

We have a new cable TV and WiFi system being installed April 2025.

There are many, many wonderful restaurants for seafood or almost anything your heart may desire. Shopping is great too, from an Outlet Mall to Walmart, Target & Dollar Tree, and several grocery stores, too, plus lots and lots of specialty shops!

We have a combination lock which our cleaner changes after cleaning, so I'll text you the combination by check in time if you text me when you are about an hour away.

We are a little community of about 10 homes, just across the street from the beach road and on warm summer days usually a few families share the pool. You can walk to the pool in about 10 seconds, and the beach/ocean in a minute or two.

Our area is much less busy and crowded than Nags Head in the summer, but you can drive there in just a few minutes for any activities you would like to participate in. Even closer than Nags Head is Kill Devil Hills, where you can visit the Wright Brothers Memorial to discover the Wright Brothers' first flights. There is also a water park just about 10 minutes away, northwest across the Wright Memorial Bridge.

We have ample parking for 2 cars or an SUV. We can't take trailers, large trucks or boats in front of our home due to HOA Regulations, but you can park those on the main part of the street, as long as you don't block anyone's access or the community dumpster.

House Rules:
Absolutely No Smoking or Pets
No parties (except for small family get-togethers).
Check-in time is 4 PM to early the next day and check out time is 10:00 am sharp.
The most important rules are that smoking and pets are strictly forbidden. Aside from that, please just treat my home as you would like me to treat yours. I would appreciate if you leave it in good condition, fairly neat -- or at least toss all trash & leftover food in dumpster across the field from the house! Wearing shoes while crossing field is strongly recommended because of numerous cacti and sand burrs all over the beach area.

No pets, no smoking, no exceptions.

I leave coffee, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, soap and other amenities for guests, but can't be there myself every time to make sure it's kept up, so please use just what you need and leave the rest for the next family. Thank you for being our guests, and have a wonderful time at the beach!

Checkout time is 10AM firm for safety and Check-in is 4 pm, but later is fine.

Security/Damage Deposit will be quickly refunded once I have made sure there is no damage.

Must rent full week Saturday to Saturday from May to August unless there is a space in my calendar that is less than one week. This usually happens when someone requests more than a week. If you see a partial week free, and the system won't let you book it, please contact me on this site to let me know, and I will try to make the adjustment for you.

Our first floor home has just 3 steps to the entrance. Full kitchen with everything you need. Linens (towels/washcloths/sheets) provided, but please bring beach towels. We have Wi-Fi available, dedicated parking space for 1-2 cars (trailers and boats must park on main road).

In answer to many questions, sorry, we do not have a balcony and we do have a small grill for barbecuing. We cannot take your small, quiet or even hypoallergenic pet due to asthma. We do have Internet, cable TV, and air-conditioning. We are less than a block to the beach, about a two to four minute walk, and it takes only 12-20 seconds to walk to the pool, open Memorial Day weekend until shortly after Labor Day. Pets and smoking are NOT allowed - no exceptions!

Our home has everything you need: full kitchen, linens, towels, dishes, etc. Remember to bring your sunscreen and toothbrush -- and a beach towel and swimsuit when weather is warm!

Our charming home was newly painted and remodeled a few years ago, a lovely periwinkle color and brighter, more modern decor. Cool and comfortable window a-c in summer; WiFi recently added. Washer/dryer unfortunately destroyed by a recent hurricane.

Payment must be made in full and deposited BEFORE arrival; I cannot accept payment on arrival. Weeks must be Saturday - Saturday for discounts.

Please don't ask for partial weeks in summer unless you see them offered. It would be a huge problem to have your reservation overlap with somebody else's, so I am booking Saturday to Saturday weeks. Please don't ask to stay until Sunday because of the next rental being Saturday to Saturday.

If you're looking for availability I don't have in Kitty Hawk, try my Virginia Beach home, property 3469983, while we still have some time left. It's also 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and is just a block from the beach with similar pricing

The week is marked reserved only when it is fully paid, so booking as soon as possible is better.

Ocean view from pool, about 15 steps from house. Great beach weather through most of October and sometimes into November, which is when the fishing is especially great!

Beach access very convenient - swimming, surfing, sunbathing and great fishing only a short walk away. Pool shared by Sea Retreat homes, from weekend before Memorial Day until Labor Day.

Many great places for shopping and restaurants nearby, some within walking distance, with a myriad of enjoyable activities available within a short drive or bike ride. Don't miss seeing the Wright Brothers monument, commemorating first airplane flight!

Monthly rental February to April includes all utilities, internet and cable TV; reverts to weekly rentals in April. We don't rent January and part of February because we have to turn off yhe water in case of a hard freeze.
