This lovingly restored 1916 historic home boasts a unique blend of vintage elegance and modern comforts, guaranteed to be an experience like none you’ve had before! Nestled on 40 acres of picturesque rural countryside, just on the outskirts of Bismarck, ND, our home features original architecture and period details in addition to modern luxuries. Smart TVs, highspeed WiFi, top-of-the-line linens, hybrid mattresses, and a giant Lite Brite allow you to have the best of both the present and the past. You’ll quickly notice every little detail thoughtfully woven into this historic home. We invite you to step back in time while enjoying all the conveniences of the present!

The charming Ridge Lodge is adorned with several antique furnishings, cozy electric fireplaces, hot tun, an abundance of opportunities for interactive and entertaining experiences, and plenty of space to enjoy time with friends and family. If you're seeking a retreat with a touch of local heritage, this is the perfect destination for you - located just 15 minutes to the nearest WalMart and 20 minutes to downtown.

Kitchen & Dining:
The well-appointed kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, ensuring you have everything you need to whip up delicious meals! Fully stocked with the basics like pots and pans, and crockpots to a blender and local cookbooks featuring recipes of cultural culinary favorites we’ve got it. A coffee/tea bar that doesn’t end - grinder, Keurig, drip coffee pot, french press, coffee syrup flavorings, flavored creamers, to-go cups and more ensures even the most refined coffee lover palettes are satisfied! You’ll even find a mini ice machine just in case the fridge doesn’t keep up with your needs.

The dining room, with more than ample seating, provides a delightful space to enjoy meals, entertainment and engage in conversations. The large table has two leaves and will accommodate 10 people in addition to a high-side table that seats 3. The hightop table can double as a buffet and features built-in plugins for the modern traveler needing a charging station or work area!

Bedrooms:
Each of the 5 comfortable bedrooms (1 King; 2 Queen; and 2 Full to sleep up to 8) is thoughtfully decorated to evoke a sense of warmth and nostalgia, reflecting the History and Heritage theme of the home. Sink into plush bedding and wake up to breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside in rooms reflecting decor their namesakes: Badlands, Missouri River, Theodore Roosevelt, Dakota and Dreamcatcher. All beds are hybrid, top-quality mattresses (no box mattresses here!) with your choice of firm/medium softness, extra pillows and blankets in each room, fans for noise and cooling, dressers, luggage racks, seating and clocks that have built-in noise machines, USB and USB-C chargers and night lights. A restful night's sleep is guaranteed!

Bathrooms: Two full-sized bathrooms boast high-quality, soft and cozy bath towels AND bath sheets, luxury shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, black towels and makeup remover towlets for convenient makeup removal, individual hygienic bathmats, and a stash of personal items in case of emergencies.

Fun & Games under the Northern Lights:
A Giant, 6’x4’ custom-built Lite Brite is the highlight of the designated Northern Lites game space - guaranteed kids and adults alike will enjoy it! Coloring books, reading books, cards, board games, puzzles and more are featured not only in this space but can be found throughout the home for everyone to enjoy.

Outdoor Area:
Step outside and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings of the North Dakota countryside. Enjoy your morning coffee on the charming front deck, taking in the gentle breeze and the sight of picturesque sunrises where you can see for miles. The sprawling yard provides ample space for kids to play and adults to unwind in the hot tub. The Prairie Rose patio, in the back, provides the perfect place to wind down with a glass of wine as the sun sets. It features a sturdy wooden pergola strung with lights, large patio sofas, ottomans, a bistro set and gas grill where you can cook up some local vittles, watch birds and wildlife, play a little cornhole and enjoy the ND sunrise and sunsets.

Activities:
Whether you're a history enthusiast, nature lover, or simply seeking tranquility, there's something for everyone here. Take a walk to the top of the ridge and you’ll see for miles including the capital building or just roam around the yard and enjoy the many gardens and several varieties of trees. If you are here at the right time you are welcome to pick any ripe raspberries, June berries, black currants, aronia berries, rhubarb, asparagus and other vegetables from the garden. Enjoy stargazing at night in the clear night skies, embark on a scenic drive through the countryside, or take a leisurely stroll along quiet country roads.

You will find this to be a private spot with only 2 close neighbors. One is the farm across the road, blocked by trees, for privacy and Sporting Clays across the fence line.

Other things to note
There is a Sporting Clay's gun range across the fence line to the east of the property. If you are someone who enjoys shooting you will want to check them out and maybe go over and enjoy a round of sporting clays. If you are someone who is bothered by the sound of gunshots please see their shooting schedule below.

You’ll have 3 miles of gravel roads. Could be muddy, dusty or snow covered.
Chemical free cleaning supplies and scent free laundry detergent used in the home.
