The BIG LIE
The property was fine. No complaints about the property itself. The issue was the owner/leaser of the property. We booked and paid in full at time of booking. Roughly two weeks before check-in, I got an email stating that I owed a few more hundred dollars for my stay. I was told it was an admin fee that was left off. I reached out for 3-4 days straight to enquire about additional charge and got no response. It wasn't until VRBO sent them a message that they finally decided to respond. By this time, there were no other properties for us to switch to, as we were 1 week out. I would have canceled and switched purely based on principle, I got several messages from owner once I agreed to pay the additional amount and I was told that it's really half the amount more because half will be refunded after check out. So we check out and I reach out via text and ask about the process for the refund and I messaged for 3-4 days consecutively. I gave them over 1 week to respond and as I figured all along, it was a BIG LIE. NO refund of half and still no response. I hesitated posting this but this serves as a PSA to the rest of the unsuspecting renters out there. I still have the text messages with the refund offer from you Kelly. Rent at your own risk.
