About this property
Country Delight Room - Wander Inn
The Country Delight room has a king sized bed with one of our most favorite flea market finds ever as the headboard, our “Country Delight” sign. A vintage cut-velvet love seat sits at the foot of the bed, a set of our large gold wings are on the wall and we have GYPSY marquee letters to light your way. This room is also the largest of all the rooms and is wheelchair accessible. It has its own coffee bar area, but you can also share the great room upstairs.
A set of French doors lead out onto the porch with your own rocking chairs which allows for a perfect view of the sunset and the longhorns.
This room also has pine floors throughout, a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, the ranch-style corrugated metal shower, rainfall shower head, your own record player, vintage table fan and a mini-fridge.
This room is in the Crown House where you can share the great room with the other 3 rooms in the building if you choose to. This house is built in the traditional Ranch-style dog-run or dog-trot layout, where there is a breezeway through the center of the house to allow for extra cooling during the summer months.
The great room is upstairs and features our grand blue velvet sectional, a gas fireplace and our 1950s IDEAL sign. The feature wall in the great room is made of beadboard salvaged from the Mt Calvary Church in Round Top, and a kitchenette entirely built out of salvage components. You’ll also find a coffee table made out of a vintage drum and stacks and stacks of great books for your stay.
Everyone has access to our outdoor areas (65 acres), gas firepits, adirondack chairs, bicycles & stock tank Cowboy Pools!
There is a common kitchenette area with a mini-fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. We ask that you do not cook in these kitchens are they are not equipped for cooking, but are fine for snacks and drinks.
*free wifi in every room This room also has cedar floors throughout, a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, the ranch-style corrugated metal shower, rainfall shower head, your own record player, vintage table fan and a mini-fridge.
This room is upstairs in the Star House, where you will have a large common living area with 3 other rooms. The great room has cedar floors, a gas fireplace, an American flag that flew over the State Fair of Texas in 1972, our vintage “STAR MOTEL” sign which has been used as the backdrop for numerous photoshoots including Miranda Lambert & Country Living magazine. A large disco ball style chandelier hangs above large leather sofas and chairs flanking our handcrafted piano coffee table piled high with stacks of books, records and games for your entertainment.

We truly enjoyed our stay! Bed, linens and pillows were very comfortable. The property is beautiful! I’ve been wanting to stay here for quite a while and my husband reserved it for Mother’s Day. Exceeded my expectations!
Wonderful! Our stay in Country Delight was comfortable although it was a bit chilly due to its being the coldest days this winter season in the 20’s!! So close to town and great restaurants. The various venues made shopping a delight! Wander Inn staff brought biscuits in a bucket every morning before we headed out for a day of searching for unique finds. We would do this trip again and stay here for sure!
