About this property

The horse barn at Donegal house stands no more - but in its place is a magnificent coach-house, oozing turn-of-the-century charm. Enjoy an abundance of natural light from the oversized windows and three skylights and appreciate natural gas fireplace, air-conditioning and a private patio surrounded by green space, punctuated by a canopy of branches from two 100+ year old trees. All this and a 2 minute walk to downtown Guelph and restaurants galore. This property feels like a healing space. It's very comfortable to live in and wonderful to relax in. The house is located a stones throw from the library and there is easy access to restaurants and other retail shopping in Guelph's downtown area or alternatively, the Quebec St. mall.

The neighborhood is comprised of beautiful historic homes. The property is walking distance to Exhibition park, River Run Centre, Quebec Street Mall, and hundreds of retail stores and restaurants within downtown Guelph.

Cosy and Charming

The Coach House surpassed our expectations. Hosts Stuart and Jenny were warm and welcoming and equipped the place with everything that we needed for our stay. The Coach House was tastefully decorated with period antiques and a lovely gas fireplace that looked uncannily like it was wood burning. Welcome after a chilly ( but short) walk to downtown coffee houses and shopping. Altogether terrific and recommended.

Lovely space

First visit to Guelph … nice historical neighbourhood and space. Good relationship with owner. Would return unquestionably next time I am in the area … which I plan to do. Great walking trails in the vicinity and foodie things to discover. Thanks Stuart for everything :)
