About this property

Farmhouse with 280 degree meadow views and amazing back patio.

The Head Water House is very easy to find just 5 miles off HWY 101, on the southern end of the small City of Eureka. This place is truly unique with it's "one of kind" natural Redwood amphitheater and open meadow views, think of rural living at its best (10 minute drive back into town). You'll have access to the entire primary floor and large back patio of this Heartwood (old Redwood) built home. The house entry has high ceilings and a large open space livingroom, fireplace insert, full sized kitchen, and a queen sized bed in the master bedroom (fresh linens and bathroom towels provided during your stay). Has a modern Japanese's styled bathroom and a walk in rain shower. The back patio is "where it's at" with 280 degree view of a 25 acre meadow with towering Redwoods that form a natural amphitheater. It's very relaxing to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine over golden sunsets. The full sized kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and utensils, big cutting board island, stainless steel refrigerator, electric glass top range and convention oven. As for the general area, the Elk River Valley is relatively quiet, brilliant starry nights, and has 50% more sunny days than Eureka proper. Equipped with Starlink, rural connectivity has never been better. You'll see and hear many species of birds, deer, fox, and maybe even a Barred Owl at dusk. * (Please read disclaimer below. )

* Disclaimer: As for full transparency and what to expect during your stay; The host (myself) I have a few requests and somethings to consider before renting this space. I do request a screenshot of your valid drivers license that matches your VRBO account, sent via email after your initial inquiry. (Please make sure your picture, first name, last initial, and DL # is visible, feel free to blur any other sensitive info). I realize this is small hassle, and do not understand why VRBO does not have a better verification process on their end. I hope you understand my situation, if you were allowing an unknown guests on your property. Of course your I.D is kept confidential for booking and liability purposes only and will be deleted after check out, but you are freely giving this information without concerns to host's data security. Once you have attached screenshot via email, I can pre-approve your booking.

* The downstairs suite is also listed on VRBO (search Head Water House Suite), there may or may not be someone renting down stairs. But I kindly ask you keep any loud noises (example: stomping feet, walking around in hard soled shoes, loud romance) to ideal talking levels. FYI, the kitchen is the most sensitive area to watch noise levels, because it directly over the downstairs bedroom. Just common curiosity with all parties is requested and appreciated. Please respect quiet hours from 9 pm-9 a.m.

*Pet owners: for reasons mentioned above, large and loud barking dogs are not encouraged, please keep pets off the couch or bedding at all times.

* Cell coverage is very limited depending on your provider. Although the house is equipped with Starlink internet, WIFI calling works good.

* It's greatly appreciated if you conserve water during your stay. The house is not on municipal water supply. During late Summer the cistern (well water) can have a slight beige (hi iron) tint. It's tested and filter through charcoal medium and UV light. Although no bacteria has been traced the tap water is not recommended for drinking. Approx. 5 gallons of drinking water is provided during your stay.

*If you are a smoker please do not rent this VRBO. Smoking/Vaping of any sort inside house is not allowed. A $250.00 fine will be charged if disregarded.

Thank you, and I really appreciate you taking the time to read this disclaimer!

Enjoy your stay,

Host Brad
