Disliked: Communication
Poor communication and terrible beds
Communication was poor - see the 1 other review. We were eventually able to lock the back door, with some in-person instruction. If my only review noted that the doors didn’t lock, I might find a way to explain that rather than blame the user. Fairly useless to contact the owner - wanted repeatedly to contact us outside the app.
Many beds, but not a single box-spring to be found. Terribly uncomfortable- might as well stay at a hotel. Don’t tell me your housekeeper who showed us how to lock the door didn’t tell you that the smoke alarm in the downstairs bedroom needs a new battery. Nothing like loud chirping from a 12 foot ceiling every 90 seconds or so to set the tone.
Has double doors that go to the backyard that will not lock so the house was completely open the whole time. We are pretty sure that there were people coming in the house when we werent there. Last night we were supposed to be staying there we got to the house late at night and the codes for all of the doors had been wiped. Contacted the host and she said she was out of town but would have the house cleaner come by. The "house cleaner" then showed up and removed the batteries for all of the deadbolts and said it was because the wifi wasnt working which was 100% not true because we were sitting on the couch watching Netflix. Then the "owner" texted my cell directly instead of through the app offering $100 and said she was on her way to which I did not respond. About 15 minutes later as me and my wife were watching TV the alarm went off that a door had opened so I checked the doors and there was a lady outside the backdoor that said she lived in the garage. We immediately packed our things and left at that point we realized the lady was watching us through the blinds and had blocked our car in the driveway
