Very Disappointed

I had to ask for a check in code at 2:30 pm - check in is at 3 pm. The property was snow covered - no shovel to clean the path which most properties have something for snow removal. Furnace kept resetting to 64 - and there were bugs and cobwebs in the closets and ceilings. The upstairs is creepy with round bed, satin sheets and a i gallup electric horse in front of a window. This property has a lot of potential - IF it was throughly cleaned and didn't seem like all the furniture came from a series of bad estate sales and grandmas house . I realy think i should recieve my cleaning deposit back since when we dug the remote out of the couch, I found an empty vape pen cartidge and sleep mask . ALso there is moss growing in the windows on the main floor.

Be prepared

I stayed here with my two adult children Dec. 25-29, 2023. The house is adequate, as best, if all you’re doing is sleeping there. There are NOT 4 bedrooms, only 3. You cannot count “an extra area” as a room as it has no door to it. It definitely can be another area to sleep, but it’s not a room. When we arrived the first night, the temperature in the house was 55 degrees. The thermostat is set incorrectly and difficult to figure out. The first morning I went into the kitchen to see if there might be some coffee. There was, in the freezer. I made a pot, poured a cup, then discovered that there is absolutely nothing else in the kitchen, as far as food of any kind goes, besides the coffee. No sugar, no sweetener, no powered cream, no condiments, no ice trays, nothing. Only 2 burners, no oven. There is a very large toaster oven on the counter, but I have no idea if that is as good as a full oven or not. NO microwave. On the list of instructions it tells you not to use 2 big appliances at the same time in the kitchen because the system can’t handle the power. Lots of traffic noise starting about 7 am. The remote for the TV (only one tv, btw) does not permit turning the TV on and off, nor does it permit volume changes. Those two functions must be done manually. No big deal, all of this, except I wish I’d known, because I would not have paid what they’re asking per night. Oh, and bring yourself some round sheets as theirs have been around the block many times.

Very clean and easy to get to. Owner was very kind, responsive, and left good instructions. Ad stated 4 queen beds and 1.5 bathrooms allowing room to sleep 8. There is only one bathroom. One bedroom has a full bed and one bedroom has a futon without bedding/pillows. The circle bed was large and the master bed was comfortable. The living room couch has a pull-out bed, but we didn’t open it since we didn’t have bedding. Couches are comfortable. Overall, good stay for 6 adults.
