About this property

Quiet,, tranquil, nature, side by sideing , fishing,

Nothing like you’ve ever experienced, no neighbors, five deer, five hoot owls, coyotes, and endless amounts of birds, and occasional tractor and occasional train. 30 minutes from town. You can just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet or if you like to ride side-by-side’s or four wheeler’s, or just drive in the desert. 10 minutes from Lake Walcott, fishing, boating, frisbee golf, picnicking, our place is truly a get away from it all.

Great little farmhouse.

Quaint, Retro, Peaceful

We loved this cute stay! It reminded me of my grandparents home. Lots of character and cowboy charm. If you embrace retro and love times past, this is definitely your vibe. Also has a BBQ, fire pit, and corn hole game in the back yard which we loved. No internet, so come prepared to unplug!

Farm Retreat

This was my parents original homestead and our first trip back since we passed it to the Rassmussen family. Their love and care for the home and acreage shows — it was like old times, only better. It’s peaceful and quiet and was fun to watch the deer in the yard while drinking our morning coffee. Life is better at the ranch 🙂

Accurate Website Listing

The website listing accurately represented the house. Its an old modge podge ranch house on the out skirts of town. Check in and out were really easy. The house was reallly clean. We appreciated the kid appropriate dvds and small toys that were available. The house is located in a pretty rural area. It basically takes 20-30 minutes to get to anything (gas, food, etc). So you need to plan accordingly. There are some owls that live on the property and it was cool to see and hear them in the early evening. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Gunstock Ranch. The stars were amazing. Make sure you go out and look at them. The home is clean and accessing it was easy. It was fun to read about the original owners. Thanks for hosting us. We would stay again.

Being able to control thermostat in each room is great. Decently sized for what you pay for. Very remote and quiet, backyard is great. Seeing that amount of stars at night was amazing! The one thing I would recommend is bringing is a cutting board for the kitchen, maybe some other kitchen items/appliances you might not usually bring. But other than that. It was great!

Great location nestled away from the city. We enjoyed the nighttime stars. The views were spectacular there. The family enjoyed the stay. There is no internet, so be prepared to be disconnected. There are, however, a load of movies to choose from, so the family doesn't get bored.
