I am Abby Burns, and I was born and raised in Emmetsburg, IA. After living in several cities in Iowa, I returned home with my husband and three daughters. Our family has been actively engaged in developing the lofts, which offer travelers a unique blend of comfort and convenience. These spaces provide more room to relax compared to traditional accommodations, allowing guests to enjoy a home-like atmosphere during their stay. We take pride in creating a welcoming environment where travelers can truly feel at home.

My name is Abby Burns, and I was born and raised in Emmetsburg, Iowa. As a family, we’ve been deeply involved in developing the lofts—spaces designed to offer travelers a distinctive mix of comfort and convenience. Unlike traditional accommodations, our lofts provide extra space and a relaxed, home-like atmosphere. We’re proud to offer a warm and welcoming environment where guests can truly feel at home.

We chose to renovate this location because we already owned the building and saw its potential, even though the space hadn’t been used in over 50 years. Recognizing the local need for housing, we took a chance and set out to create something special—preserving much of the building’s historical charm. Original features like the wood floors and fireplace were carefully restored to honor the character and story of the space.
