Built in the early 1800s, this historic 1 bed/1 bath gem underwent a meticulous restoration in 2021, marrying its saw mill heritage with contemporary luxuries, including a Nest thermostat, smart speakers, keyless entry, and fast wifi. Original exposed post and beam construction and Scandinavian-inspired design make for a unique and cozy atmosphere.

The space
The bright and airy loft sleeps two people, with bedding by Casper and Brooklinen to ensure a comfortable and restful stay. For additional guests, there's a sleeper sofa in the living room. Accessibility note: the loft is only accessed by a (stunningly custom-built) ladder.

The open and spacious floor plan affords an idyllic setting for both weekend getaways and extended stays. Our guests love the fully-equipped kitchen, designed by cooking enthusiasts, boasting cookware by All Clad and Staud, and a large pantry. The cozy living room with deep comfortable seating is perfect for curling up with a book and a glass of wine in front of the hearty, wood-burning stove on chilly evenings.

Perfect Getaway Cottage

We loved the cottage! Very nicely decorated and great yard, family room, fire pit area and streamside sounds. What a pretty kitchen and dining area ! Great bathroom style and Terry cloth robes. We enjoyed the ladder climb to the all-white sleeping loft, and felt like we were in a treehouse in the am when we opened the shade. Thank you for a sweet stay.

Quaint yet modern

We loved our stay! It was clean and very well equipped. The owners communicated with us frequently as need ed and promptly. The babbling brook is delightful, wish we could have had a fire in the fire pit but it rained. The living room is lovely, furniture comfortable and clean. No TV A couple things to keep in mind if it is not clear... The bed is in a loft with a (very sturdy) quite steep ladder to it. There is no electric standard coffee maker. There is a Chemex but this is more like a science project every morning. Interesting but laborious. There is no microwave.
