About this property
The Mill House: An Enchanting, Stream-Side Retreat
Escape and reconnect with nature at The Mill House, a charming Catskills home, just a 2.5-hour drive from NYC.
Built in the early 1800s, this historic 1 bed/1 bath gem underwent a meticulous restoration in 2021, marrying its saw mill heritage with contemporary luxuries, including a Nest thermostat, smart speakers, keyless entry, and fast wifi. Original exposed post and beam construction and Scandinavian-inspired design make for a unique and cozy atmosphere.
The space
The bright and airy loft sleeps two people, with bedding by Casper and Brooklinen to ensure a comfortable and restful stay. For additional guests, there's a sleeper sofa in the living room. Accessibility note: the loft is only accessed by a (stunningly custom-built) ladder.
The open and spacious floor plan affords an idyllic setting for both weekend getaways and extended stays. Our guests love the fully-equipped kitchen, designed by cooking enthusiasts, boasting cookware by All Clad and Staud, and a large pantry. The cozy living room with deep comfortable seating is perfect for curling up with a book and a glass of wine in front of the hearty, wood-burning stove on chilly evenings.
Tucked away in a sprawling 4-acre wooded property, The Mill House is an oasis of tranquility and natural beauty, offering year round delights. Imagine the sweet scent of blooming lilacs in spring or the irresistible bounty of wild berries during summer. And when fall arrives, feast your eyes on a jaw-dropping display of vibrant red maples. While you're here, kick back and relax in the Adirondack chairs by the crackling firepit and enjoy the soothing melody of the babbling stream. A charcoal grill is available for any grill enthusiasts who have picked up local meats or trout from our butcher, Meat and Flowers.
Seize the opportunity to embark on an unforgettable journey at The Mill House. Book your stay now and create memories that will last a lifetime.
