Hot tubs Cannot stay Hot in All Weather and all times. The Colder and windier it is the quicker the tub will cool. Guest need to manage the temperature of the water by keeping the lid on when not in use. Below 50f if the lid is left off the tub will cool. At 10f the tub will cool within an 1/2 hour or less according to the wind. At -4f hot tub time is very limited.
Turning the temperature up does not make a hot tub heat faster. Hot tubs heat at a constant rate of approximately 1f per hour. If the tub gets down to 96f it is time to put the lid back on or the heat will not recover during your stay.
We leave helpful point of use instructions. Guest are responsible to read, understand, and operate the tubs with the weather conditions, and capabilities of the tubs design.

Early spring was perfect for my husband and I to get away to this cabin and watch nature emerge from the cold of winter. We had a wonderful time with our doggies, and the host was so helpful!
Everything was very nice. We enjoyed using the kitchen and especially the hot tub. We felt the sitting area was smaller than it appeared online but we liked the gas stove. We would have appreciated a washer/dryer to dry our clothes after using the hot tub. We also wished there were wash clothes. And we did not realize there were only 3 double beds which was not enough room for 7 people. Overall our stay was wonderful!
If you are looking for a rustic, off grid, romantic mountain getaway- this is the rental for you. There is no Wi-Fi, and we did not have cell phone service- so do your research about the area before you arrive. The hosts did have a guest book with a plethora of information about the area and attractions. The drive to the cabin is not for the feint of heart, but it was secluded and private with stunning views. Just a short drive to town for groceries and about 30 minutes to Shenandoah National Park which offered some of the most amazing views and hiking trials I have ever seen. Highly recommend this lovely chalet!

My fiance and I had a wonderful time! We already want to go back! It was super quiet! It was a get away we really needed! Planning on go back soon for another weekend get away! Super cozy and clean and the view was nice!
The property was just as described. It is rustic but clean. It is a 1.1 mile drive on a gravel road back to the property where you have no Internet or cell phone service. A perfect place to slow down and disconnect.
This was our second visit to this cabin and we really enjoy the peace and quiet. The cabin is very rustic and comfortable and we love the gas fireplace.
Communication with Pat was great both before and during our stay.
We went on walks around the area and spent a wonderful afternoon down by the lake.
Overall exactly what we needed. The goal was to unplug and reconnect with each other, and this location was perfect for that.
Expect a rustic stay and true rural feel, with the luxury of a hot tub.
Definitely off the beaten path down and up winding roads, Definitely recommend a sturdy vehicle to get around in.
Overall loved our stay and will absolutely do it again!!

Great owners
The cabin was exactly as advertised. There were some weather issues in the area the day before our stay and the owners worked diligently to make sure the house was ready for us.
My wife and I really enjoyed this secluded chalet in the forest. We managed to hike to Shenandoah park from the house in just under one hour. Hot tub was just the cherry on the cake. Communication with owner patrick was easy.
Absolutely loved this getaway! We had a squeaky, scratchy visitor in the bedroom wall all night long bedside us one night that just wouldn't go away which was annoying but didn't ruin our stay. If we were actually at the cabin more than taking advantage of the hiking I would have done a deep clean but staying kinda off the grid you get what you expect. The host had a full book of the area which was amazing, as well as maps, books, movies, etc which really made it feel like a home away from home. I would definitely love to book this again!!
Worst place I’ve ever seen never even stayed there. Left within 45 minutes.
Never even stayed there the original place I rented was canceled just over 24 hours prior to getting there was on vacation was not checking. Emails showed up there to find out. It was canceled on me from the owner. Verbo did absolutely nothing to help me. they told me to call the owner and just left me six hours from home with no place to stay absolutely terrible on both of them the place they tried to put me in, a complete crap Hole! Will never rent from Verbo again they left me hanging. I am still fighting with them to get my money back.

Wonderful cabin in the woods! REALLY in the woods!
We celebrated fall season and a birthday at this cabin. The beds were comfortable and the space was plenty big enough. The kitchen/dining table did collapse one day when we moved it a little because the legs fold in to make it a very (very) small table. The kitchen could use some big mixing and or salad bowls but we certainly made do. No cell service for the most part...but we were happy to unplug and have a great weekend.

I was really looking to have a good weekend away from the city. This was probably the most horrible vacation property that I’ve ever stayed at. Me being an owner of vacation properties know what to expect. This property was non-functionable the Jacuzzi was dirty the house smelled like dead carcass. I had to actually clean the place in order to stay in the place. I would not recommend this to anyone to stay in for any purpose whatsoever. The Wi-Fi does not work the grill does not have proper amount of propane for you to have a weekend. The landline phone does not work. And there’s no I repeat no communication with the outside world. One thing I will say it’s in a great location, but there’s a rebel flag soon as you turn into the area to go to this cabin.

Dirty Cabin
We walked into the cabin and it smelled terrible, they apparently hadn't removed the trash from the previous renters. So we called the next morning and the rental company assured us someone would come right over and remove it, however when we returned later the day we discovered they never showed up. In addition to the horrible trash smell, some of the bedding had cigarette holes in them (YUCK). I could go on with other problems (dirty, overused and scarce cookware), but trust me, it was so unbearable we ended up leaving a day early.
The cabin was overall ok. I know it’s rural and that was expected. However overall the inside needs updating… futon couch was horribly uncomfortable to sit on, couldn’t imagine sleeping on it.
No real chairs to sit on as they felt like they would break under normal weight.
Basement room was full of spiderwebs and has a huge foundation crack down the wall, it was storming on arrival and water was leaking/seeping through the wall.
Bring everything with you, including towels. We had 4 adults and 5 total towels… between showers and the hot tub (which works wonderfully) they never did dry out, we had to go to Walmart and buy towels.
The house is not stocked with any pantry staples, or storage bowls etc…
Just be advised that it’s 35ish min to Walmart if you need anything
No cellphone service at all, even with our hotspot, just be aware… there is a landline :)
Deck is very very slippery when wet
Bring fans, there is “ac” in the bedrooms, but it doesn’t get really cool
No ceiling fans, didn’t open bedroom windows, one was full of mouse poo and the main floor window the screen didn’t seal and it had some foam around it but the bees were still trying to get in
Photos of house are not current state of it, looks like they were from a few years ago when the items shown were new…
Overall not terrible, just not what we were expecting based off photos

Good chalet and great location - don't expect great customer service from the owner
It snowed heavily on the first night we reached the chalet, which caused power cuts for the first night. Consequently there was no light, no running water (even for flushing). Figuring out heat in the dark was hard and we practically had limited heat on the first night. We still stayed (despite all this hardships caused by inclement weather) because the location seemed nice, and promises by the chalet manager to refund the first night stay as a goodwill gesture (which never materialized by the way). Travel & Leisure industry companies do typically offer such refunds for their customers during inclement situations.
On the following day, we made a request send a snow plow truck to clean up the driveway. Driveway is about 150 feet long, which was buried in about a foot of snow. When no help arrived, we ended up cleaning the driveway manually during our vacation! We called for help again after our car got stuck in the snow in the driveway. This help never arrived even after multiple calls. We had a strong enough car that managed to reach this chalet driveway safely after a 350 mile driving in rough weather. Snowed in driveway caused hardship during this entire vacation
We liked the chalet and the beautiful location that it offers, however accommodating little requests would have gone a long way to make this an enjoyable vacation. I will not expect much help from the chalet owner.
We were supposed to stay three nights at the cabin, but we only stayed one night. Because the first night we were about to go to sleep and my daughter went upstairs to the Loft area to sleep and found dead and live bugs and mice dropping behind her headboard. Then she found bugs in her windowsill.
It was the end of June, and it was hot in the cabin. The cabin was advertised as airconditioned, but the AC was broke. To the main house and the window AC. So, my daughter and her son took the mattress off the bed and was going to sleep downstairs until they found dead bugs under the mattress. There were dead bugs behind the headboard in the downstairs bedroom too.
It was late at night, and we would have had to pack and drive 3 ½ hours to get home. Driving that mountain in the day is dangerous enough. We didn’t want to drive it at night. So, we barely got any sleep stayed awake and waited for the sun to come up.
The sun came up and we packed and opened the pots and pans door in the kitchen and found mouse droppings. Just the day before we eat off the plates and drank out of the glasses for dinner. We could all get sick!
We just wanted to get home!
The cabin has no cell service, No Tv Channels, No AC, No Dishwasher that worked, was told it just broke but if you read past reviews the dishwasher has been broke before. No Decent chairs or sofas to sit on just a hard as rock futons. And cheap wooden chair that will break if you sit on. Cobwebs, Dust! When we got home, we called the owner. He Got mad. Wouldn’t return our money. Wouldn’t stop renting the cabin! So, we contacted VBRO! Then Patrick started Lying! Saying we brought the bugs in. We staged it to get our money back. All Lies! First, we just booked the cabin two weeks before plus added an extra day to our stay. Plus, we took an 80-year-old woman with us my mother who can barely walk! We bought tickets to Luray caverns and a 5 day Fishing license. We wouldn’t have done or spent all this money just to get our Cabin money back. He’s INSANE!
People can get SICK!!!
Now Patrick the owner will say we did something or wanted something or broke something all LIES!
The review won't let me give names of businesses .Another couple stayed at the cabin and drove 4 1/2 hours and only stayed 3 hours at the cabin because it was so disgusting! Mouse droppings 2 years ago. Patrick Burns in Stanley Va
Go to his other website and read the review Rustic Pros and Cons from Dec 2016 You'll find more mice droppings...

What makes this property unique
The quite seclusion and natural beauty of the Area is consistently amazing me. I have seen at one time or another every bird Native to the Eastern Woods of North America including Eagles, Falcons, Red Cocakted Wood Peckers song birds of every type. Summers have the many Humming Birds Visit.
Spring and Fall Migrations are a wonderful time to spot many different and unique birds.
Part of our cabin is to enjoy the evening with a camp fire. Sitting around the fire with friends is an experience that you will enjoy and remember. There is ample free downed wood that can be found and used on the property.
Watching the Stars on a clear night is something to behold. The Milky Way is clearly visible. On a full Moon night with clear weather you can go hiking at night without a flashlight.
Hiking to the Shenandoah National Park is nearby and easy to do. Three Water Falls are close enough to hike in a day hike. Dark Hollow Falls and Lewis Falls, are accessible by trail SNP trails. Naked Creek West Falls, are a bush-whacking hike for the more adventurous. Big Meadows is just 'up the hill' about 1 and 1/2 Mile Hike from the area.
Fishing at the nearby pond is also a great experience to relax and unwind. Thoughts of Huck Finn often slip into your mind while enjoying the quite natural beauty of the area.
