If you love nature this is the place for you. Amazing view. Quiet and comfortable. There is a mineral spring at the base of the driveway up. Lots of plates and pots/pans to cook with. A very smooth and enjoyable experience. Thanks Michael
We absolutely loved everything about this property! The privacy, cleanliness, they had everything we could need or want here. All you need to bring are your positive vibes and food for your stay! We only needed minimal contact with the owners but they communicated well and in a timely manner! Book the trip!! You won ’t regret it!
Great little cabin up on the mountain. Be sure to follow the directions given and not maps (it will lead you astray). Nice and clean, very comfy. Don’t forget to bring ice when you come up the mountain.
When we arrived the air was not working. The unit was frozen up. The host was responsive but could not resolve the issue! It was 85 degrees in the house. Not to mention to 20 minute drive down the dirt/gravel road. No cell service. We toughed it out on the floor with fans one night and had to pack up and go home the next, we couldn’t deal with it anymore. We had people that drove over 8 hours to come here for vacation.
Overall we had a good time, and the cabin was nice, but the 1.8 mile gravel road from the main highway to the property was rough, even in our SUV. There are two roads that lead to the property ... be sure to use the southern option as the northern option is dangerously steep for standard vehicles.
Also, the master bed mattress was too soft for us.
Recommend the LL add a hood over the stove in the kitchen. Thanks.

Arrival was great , first night great!Next morning woke up to stopped up toilets at 7:30am. Maintenance man, Texas, came at aproximately 1-1:30. He said he needed to call a plumber but bad weather had been reported and it was up to us what to do but give him and hour and he would contact us. No contact, so I packed up my family drive another hour, paid for another place to stay. “Michael” has never contacted me until an email 9 days past saying he would not refund the two nights I didn’t stay because our family clogged the toilets!!! I’m furious! I have a septic system at my home and so we know the rules. If something different needs to happen then you should warn your quest prior to renting. You are clear on the rainwater gathering and usage. Maybe you should have said don’t flush at the same time!!! I wasn’t asking for a full refund only the nights we didn’t stay! We had 3 adults and 2 children. They supplied 5 towels for a 3 night stay but we were suppose to save on washing?? Used those towels to clean up sewer water. Was advised by maintenance man not to wash because of sewer issues!!Very poor management. I have never ever had problems like this through VRBO!
Wonderful secluded cabin with a gorgeous view!We were a group of 4 with a pet. We all enjoyed our time at this cabin. Property was clean, comfortable and had just about anything we needed. We enjoyed the morning sunrises and the nice big fire pit. The host was very nice and communicative. Would definitely come back again!
Overall beautiful property and great experience. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is definitely the place to go. Gorgeous view. The pictures didn't do it justice.
Overall we were pleased. Loved the remote location However cleaning crew had no cleaned fridge. We left what was already there. Also for 5 women one trash container wasn’t enough. We had to carry trash out with us. We are talking of staying again in future.
We stayed for a girls' weekend celebrating my daughter's 14th birthday. We watched the sun rise over the mountains on the deck/porch of the master suite. Like others, the road was rough but it was expected. The "no trespassing" signs along the way were hilarious. We LOVED the little cabin-on-the-mountains vibe that was close to home. We hope to travel again here some day!
We really loved the cabin. The view is gorgeous, stunning sunrise! Everything was done so pretty inside with all of the essentials and extras that you could ever ask for.
As other guests have review, the drive up and down did take a while, maybe even 10 minutes each way. So farther than we thought but once you got up there it was well worth it. Would stay again for sure!
We had a great stay at Misty Mountain Cabin, great view, great feel....and very convenient to the Caddo River and Albert Pike which is where we spent most of our days, we'll be back!!

We loved this cabin and the scenery was breathtaking. The road to the cabin could use some work. It was very rough and not maintained very well. I was glad I own an suv which made it to the cabin pretty well. I would not drive a sports car or low riding car up that road.
We were so happy with this stay! The house is super cozy and clean with a wood burning fireplace in the living room and a lovely kitchen, beautiful woodwork throughout, and a patio off the bedroom that faces a valley. Every morning we got a stunning sunrise view from our comfy bed. It’s just close enough to Mount Ida and Hot Springs while also being remote. Glenwood is a short drive and had pretty much everything we needed in terms of groceries. I feel like we got to experience everything the area has to offer while bookending our days in a super cozy and quiet cabin. Definitely will be staying again in the future!
