About this property
Live Oak Farm Haus Near Main Street & HEB Sleeps12
The Live Oak FarmHaus is a beautiful Hill Country Home! This 4 bedroom house sleeps 12 comfortably. The kitchen has all the basic cooking essentials needed to prepare meals. The house is spacious and perfect for a girlfriend retreat or family vacation. Relax & unwind on the back porch with a Fredericksburg wine. Sit underneath huge trees while your pets enjoy the fenced in dog run. Charge your EV with a fast charger.
Natives claim the Live Oak Farm Haus belonged to an original settler in Fredericksburg and the original parts of the house are over 100 years old. It along with several other large farmhouses on the street sit a top a large hill at the top of the neighborhood in town. The house has tons of character as you can tell the 2nd owner (a contractor) built on as his family grew. The house has been updated but not completely remodeled so it has original floors, stairs, & bathtubs. The back yard has a covered patio with outdoor seating and lights with a view of the neighbors farm nestled behind it. A well house still sits behind the house and is covered in ivy. Large trees surround the backyard and a block privacy fence keeps the noises from the house next door at bay. The farm house next door does have pets and a goat and goose can occasionally be heard. A newly fenced dog run sits on the side of the property. Inside, each bedroom has rugs, a chair, bedside tables, lamps, surge proctors and a closet for clothing. Two of the 3 bathrooms have 100 year old claw foot tubs. The house has two separate living rooms that connect. A TV is present in one of the rooms and the second houses a daybed and a sleeper sectional and wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is newly refurnished with a gas stove, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. All the essentials are present for entertaining including serving ware for 12 plus, a crockpot, toaster, blender, and mixer. The laundry room has a washer, dryer, iron & ironing board. The kitchen has a round table and the dining room a long time to allow for ample seating. Insulation varies throughout the house (new was placed in the attic in April 2022) & the temperature can vary so additional fans and window air conditioners are provided. New in 2022 a 50amp/250V plug has been added for EV charging, an existing 110V plug is available too.
The neighborhood is easy to get to from Main street and close to HEB.
24/7 on-call management company is available during your stay, but will give you complete privacy.
The Live Oak Farm Haus is located in a neighborhood nestled between Hwy 16 and Milam street that both lead straight to the bustling shops on main street in Fredericksburg. The neighborhood has several residencies and many newly remodeled airbnbs. Very close by are a walgreens, HEB, and a laundry mat.
The house has a circle driveway that wraps around that can hold many cars and a few spaces on the side as well. Street parking is also available
Hot tub was removed in May of 2021 and while we have made every effort to remove it from our listing, guests are still coming across it as an amenity. There is currently no hot tub.
