Greetings from the Great Green (White) North!! It is especially beautiful here is the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in every season of the year! we would love to have you come visit. I have a very clean, assessable, roomy lodge right off of US 41 in the heart of the UP. Book a healthy exploration (see about me) weekend, or just come to explore the beauty of the Upper Peninsula. We’re here to make your day, weekend, or a longer stay a great investment of fun, health and relaxation.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Please make sure you strip the beds that are used. Do not make the beds that you used. If you make the beds that are used I may think they are unused.
Please do not leave any appliance running when you leave. Everything should be shut off and heat down to 50. All lights off.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No alcohol, smoking or illegal drug is to be used or served here at the lodge or gatherings. We are committed to encourage the guests in health .
Please keep all campfires in designated rings or spots and keep hose or buckets of water close by. campfires must be supervised at all times.
If using wood stove, know where fire extinguisher is and have close watch of fire.

This family-friendly Trenary lodge is located in a rural location, 9.3 mi (15 km) from Hiawatha National Forest, and within 20 mi (32 km) of Eben Ice Caves and Canyon Falls & Gorge and Moccasin Lake. Laughing Whitefish Falls State Park and Lake Stella are also within 20 miles (32 km).

Great place to stay if you have a large family. Lots of room. Water and other amenities were provided. House was clean and had many beds. Full kitchen was the best part for my group of seven. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Traveling with a group of 15. Stayed 1 night again on the way home and there was plenty of room for all of us. Home was clean and had well equipped kitchen. Communications were fast and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Right size for our large group

Traveling with a group of 15. Stayed 1 night and there was plenty of room for all of us. Home was clean and had well equipped kitchen. Listing was difficult to determine arrangement of beds (we are coed and were preplanning), but communications were fast and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Great up north

Pauline the owner was very accommodating. The place was clean, and off the beaten trail, so very quiet. We will be back. Only thing I would add is a grill for our stay. There was a dish washer to use, which was great. And wood there for a fire. Bonus!

Nice place, misleading listing.

The property was nice and big enough to fit the whole family! Only issue was the listing is misleading. All beaches or rivers are at least 30min either way.

The location is great and the place is really good. It does require some overall mantainance, but I believe that is a great choice for big families to have a great time. Overall, I would definitely come back again

Mother's Day Weekend Escape

This was a great home to bring our family together for Mother's Day weekend. The location is central for many of the usual UP adventures. The kitchen is large enough for multiple people to prep meals and the dining area is adjacent to allow everyone to chat during meal prep. The kids loved the play kitchen and air hockey table. The yard was large and had a fire pit to roast marshmallows and keep the chill from spring's blustery winds at bay in the evening.

We had a great week at the house. Pauline was easy to communicate with and she troubleshooted an issue with us very quickly. We loved the location being half way between Munising & Marquette. There is also a small waterfall a couple of miles from the house that our kids loved. Plenty of space in the living room and kitchen. Very nice upstairs balcony. Big yard also with a nice spot for an evening campfire.

House was beautiful, clean and had more than enough room for multiple people. Only thing I’d bring awareness too is the listing isn’t completely accurate. Some of the mattresses are on the floor in the bedrooms and the property itself has multiple trailers filled with ceramics and a bunch of ceramics under tarps outside too. The host will make you aware of the ceramics but after you already create the booking, it’s not in the photos or listing. She was very kind and responsive. So unless the above is an issue for people, I would definitely say it’s worth the stay for the price. Good location with beautiful scenery and definitely family friendly.

Trenary Cabin stay

We had a great time. There was a few minor issues for us, but overall we had a great time, the cabin is lovely! It’s a very tranquil and relaxing place to stay! We had a lot of rain during our stay so we weren’t able to enjoy it as much as we would have liked, but we made it work, nobody can truly predict the weather.

Successful Opportunity

We used this as the base for the travel that we enjoyed during the ice and snow storm at the end of March as we were at the Marquette and Munising Seventh-day Adventist churches for the baptism of our great nieces. This was an excellent base with a not so excellent entrance.

A bit eclectic, but pretty clean with lots of beds

We were quite comfortable in this house. It was plenty big for our family of 7. There was only one shower - be aware of that if there is a big group. It's clearly an old house with some quirks, but the kitchen is nice and our kids loved the air hockey table!
