We enjoyed our stay over New Year's. Would definitely stay again. Views were great, close enough to Wenatechee for any necessities. We traveled to Leavenworth and snowshoed at Lake Wenatchee. It was a great base location for us to explore the area.

Great place! Close to mission ridge! Cozy and and comfortable!
Great location for mission ridge, took about 30 minutes to drive. House was clean, accommodating, and easy to find. Loved waking up to sunrise over lake
We enjoyed our stay. Lots to see near by, went to Ohme Gardens and spent time with our extended family at Hydro Park. The sunshine was so welcome as we have been buried in smoke for weeks. Wenatchee has a wonderful vibe as a city to visit.

Very comfortable place to come back to every day and make a meal and eat out on the deck looking at the lake. Close to Wenatchee but nice and quiet neighborhood. Great job Terry!
This met all our expectations and more. The view and bird watching were spectacular. We came to go skiing but took advantage of being able to go out on the lake in little boat provided by Terry. The owner has all the amenities and more and we thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed your visit. I'm looking forward to this week when I plan to play some golf at Three Lakes golf course and visit the winery at Malaga Springs.
This was a perfect setting for our family Thanksgiving weekend getaway! The view of the lake is amazing and the home is very comfortable and well equipped. It was a perfect size for five of us and then two more joined us during the day.

The home is very nicely appointed and right on the lake. Landlord is flexible and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pantry is well stocked and TV had everything you needed for streaming etc and fast wifi for those who feel the need to stay connected

Comfortable king bed. Loved sitting on the deck looking at the lake. My husband liked how quiet it was and we all enjoyed the pool. He also found Terry helpful and easy going.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Personally, I like the Spring and Fall best as there is lots of wildlife and more colors.
Quiet neighborhood, relaxing stay. We had an issue with the door code, but as soon as Terry was aware, he corrected the problem. All four of us enjoyed our experience:)

My aunt and I visited to see her daughter, my cousin, for a few nights. She lives in Wenatchee and drive was quick and easy. There was beautiful sunrise and sunsets over the lake. It was also in a quiet neighborhood.
We were very pleased with our stay at Terry's place. We have three teenage daughters and they loved going out on the lake. The home was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. We also had our dog with us and were very comfortable with her there. A great place for families and pets. Thanks, Terry!
Perfect location to enjoy Mission Ridge (skiing and snowshoeing) and/or winter fun at the Squilchuck State Park (sledding and snowshoeing). The lake views are exactly as pictured, very beautiful in the winter. Plenty of space for two adults, two kids (10 and 12), and a dog. The kitchen had everything we needed. We had a relaxing stay.
Pets were allowed and that was truly awesome, as we stayed during the heat wave and have no air conditioning at home. The kitchen was stocked. The couch was super comfortable. The grill on the deck made cooking burgers perfect.
My family and I had a great stay at this well-equipped house on the shore of Lake Cortez. The couch that folds out into a bed was super comfortable, even, and offered a stunning view of the lake as well as direct access to the back deck. The host was incredibly helpful answering questions before and even during our stay, and it was a great spot to be in to visit both George and Leavenworth. Definitely recommended!

Great pet friendly place
We rented here with idea of being close to Mission ridge ski resort. The weather didn’t cooperate but the place was very comfortable and clean, especially for allowing dogs. No hair, odors or stains. Very reasonable price, especially for being right on the water. There’s a little community park next door with a beach which would be great in the summer.

We had a couple of challenges and Brenda was very nice to deal with.
Lovely home, magnificent view, good location, would stay again.
If I was to make recommendations it would be, more seating in living room and as so much time spent on patio enjoying the baby ducks would have enjoyed more comfortable seating.

Janet,
Thanks! I'm probably due to update some of the deck furniture. I'll think about options for the family room.
Glad you enjoyed your stay.

It was easy to make ourselves at home--built a fire and found what we needed in the kitchen (the owner even allows you to use any food in the cupboards/fridge, with the ask that you leave money or replace the items). I hear the lake is not swimmable in the summer, but it'd be beautiful! There is a slope down to the lake and we did some sledding!

Thanks Carrie, glad you enjoyed your visit. There's good sledding on the golf course too.
btw the lake is swimmable, but I recommend you take the boat out a little ways as there is lots of plant material close to shore.
My favorite season are spring and fall, but if you like the heat, summer is good.

We had a good stay overall, but there were a few things that didn’t meet our expectations. Our main disappointment was the hot tub. We thought it would be an outdoor hot tub, but it turned out to be a regular indoor tub in the master bathroom. The listing description felt a bit misleading, especially since there were no photos of it. In hindsight, I should have confirmed this with the host beforehand. The BBQ was also an issue. It was dirty, covered in spider webs, and didn’t turn on, so we weren’t able to use it.Aside from that, the house was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked, and communication was smooth. The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant too. With clearer listing details and a bit more upkeep, this could have been an even better experience.
Our group of 8 guests (5 adults and three kids) came for a three day ski vacation at Mission Ridge. We were very pleased with our spacious accommodations! We brought two good inflatable mattresses because some of us are too old to sleep on sleeping bags! It worked out great! The sofa bed is new and comfortable!
The master bedroom and bath are luxurious. Kitchen is nice and adequately equipped although I would have liked a big pot for stew and pasta. Terry, our host, was easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our stay!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed your stay. I'll think about getting a big pot.
We stayed at this house for a week, after a 1,200 mile road trip to Washington to visit family and explore the area for possible retirement. It is great that Terry allows for a full day between guests; the pandemic has everyone on edge and that helped make us feel comfortable about being there. The layout of the house is nice, and the back patio with the view of the lake is awesome. We took out one of the boats and paddled around the lake. It's a few minutes drive into Wenatchee, easy to get to grocery stores. Our dog loved being there, and we appreciated being able to have her with us on our trip. We will definitely rent this house again!

About the host
Hosted by Terry
I'm a C.P.A. and I planned to retire here. Generally I am here about 25% of the time. We enjoy watching the wildlife while eating breakfast. Often we eat our meals on the patio. We try to take a walk around the neighborhood . He enjoyed chasing the quail when he was younger. The neighbors are friendly and the golf course is convenient. Wenatchee is 10 minutes away and has any shopping you need.
Why they chose this property
I had this house custom built after looking at homes in the region for a year. The climate is good, the view is great, the neighbors are friendly, the golf course is convenient and Wenatchee provides all the conveniences of the city. Our goal is to furnish our home with everything you need. We have a variety of spices in the kitchen as well as some wine. The refrigerator has most anything you need except vegetables. Guest are welcome to use the food etc, all we ask is you replace any significant amount you used.
What makes this property unique
In the winter we sometimes go cross country skiing on the golf course. The lake contains bass, croppy and perch and a boat with an electric motor is available. There is also fishing gear.
