Painted Feather- Modern Beauty with Pool and Spa

This serene and private home is located NW of Tucson in the quiet community of Continental Reserve. The property has two full bedrooms plus a den with a high-end sofa sleeper. This home features a fully equipped kitchen as well as all linens. The resort style backyard has a heated spa and a pool with pool heating option for additional fee, 3 day minimum for pool at $100 a day. Please communicate interest at reservation so we may schedule and prepare.

We are close by if you need something, let us know... other than that, we won’t bug you.

This is a very lovely and relaxing home . Set in a quiet neighborhood with desert and mountain views. Plenty of room for entertaining guests or clients, or simply sunbathing by the pool. Great for a vacation home or a corporate rental. Tennis and basketball courts in community. Golf and hiking nearby.

The property has two full bedrooms plus a den with a computer desk. The spacious kitchen is upgraded with granite counter tops and newer appliances. This home also has a private pool and spa in the backyard as well as a two car garage for your convenience.
Pets are welcome with an additional pet fee of $197

Overall, I highly recommend this place as a nice getaway. It was unfortunate that the hot tub was not working for two nights of my stay, but the property manager was very prompt in getting the matter resolved. Overall, I would love to come back again.

Excellent. Was very clean. I read the last review and there looked to be possibly nail polish or paint on the toilet seat, couldn’t scrape it off. I am a clean freak and thought everything was entirely clean, no issues. Would highly recommend, is as beautiful as the pics. Would come back.

Peaceful neighborhood in great location

From the moment we walked in we knew we made the right choice. So many homes to choose from and this one was “just right” for us. We only used the master bedroom and the bed was comfortable, no need to adjust thermostat as ceiling fan managed the temp in the bedroom as well. Pool is not huge but big enough for a few people to be in it with a float. We walked our dog through the neighborhood each morning and neighbors are all friendly. Very quiet peaceful area with lots of open area/ ravines. Not far from many restaurants and supermarket. We will definitely stay here again. Kitchen is well stocked; I If you are a “chef” maybe bring your own special knives. Plenty of pots and pans to cook with as well as indoor and outdoor dining supplies. Outside table only seats four plates so if you have a larger group or platters you may need to sit inside. No cushions for the two chaise lounges but that is just my preference. Also, loved the retractable pool cover as it made it easy to cover and open a couple of times a day.

Very nice area. I live in the area and used the property because of a water leak at our house. The property is very nice but there were lots of issues. 1. Smoke alarm batteries went out in the middle of the night. Had to get up and buy batteries and replace them. 2. Spa not working. Needs a new blower. 3. Spa light not working 4. Ice dispenser not working. 5. Very bad smell in oven when we turned it on. Could not use it 6.Very bad smell around toilet area in master bedroom 7 Guest bath tub not draining. Had to remove plug 8. Fireplace not working 9. House was not ready for check in at 3PM. Was still being cleaned

Lovely Sombrero view from Painted Feather

Painted Feather is our favorite in Tucson! Every view is a postcard especially sunsets with Sombrero Peak. The hot tub 7 pool are relaxing. It has many sidewalks to walk on and many trails nearby to hike on. The home is comfortable and clean with many amenities provided.

Dining chairs were very dusty...chairs in den had dirt and debris under cushions..the shades were dusty.....more than just a few days of dust. The main bathroom toilet had blood under the seat. Right front stove burner wouldn't light until we cleaned it. Many of the kitchen utensils and cookware were greasy and cheap. I carefully disposed of my dog's waste and in doing so found candy half eaten and discarded. Yard also had broken patio chair, an old plastic trash can that was completely cracked. Basically trash. There was brush piled that was subsequently removed on Tuesday. The other side of the house had an empty pool chemical bucket that held a dead bird. We also killed at least 3 bugs that I didn't recognize. And in our last night we encountered and killed a scorpion. I lived in AZ for several years and NEVER had a scorpion. The house is beautiful..but poorly maintained

Excellent Property - Beds Need to be Replaced

The title says it all. Excellent property in every way shape and form, except for the beds. One is broken down the other feels more like a brick. At our age, we absolutely could not sleep on the queen size bed, although we tried. We slept on one-half of the master king.

Perfect vacation

This house is beautiful and comfortable, with all the amenities necessary for a relaxing vacation. We’ve stayed at several properties through vrbo now and this is probably my favorite so far. We loved the location, next to some beautiful mountains and Saguaro National Park NW. Tons of shopping/restaurants nearby as well. This is also the most well appointed home we’ve stayed at, from spices to kitchen gadgets, you won’t find yourself searching for a way to make your cocktails or a big dinner. The pool and spa are gorgeous and landscaping tranquil and colorful. The neighborhood is strangely quiet, so we were keenly aware about noise, but I had some family over and the kids having fun in the pool didn’t seem to bother anyone. The property mgr was really responsive to questions. The home is spacious and everything worked properly. It’s well stocked and cared for. I highly recommend this property.

Could have been better..

We loved this house/property with the bonus of a pool/hot tub. Our stay was fine, but it could have been better. We had an issue with the hot tub, as it was cold when we arrived. Not sure if this is typical, as once the pool service adjusted the breaker it didn't take very long to heat up. However due to the issue, we were only able to use the tub for 2 of the 6 nights. It was too cool for the pool, but it was still beautiful to sit by. The housecleaning service could definitely be improved. Upon arrival there was a pile of dirt (from sweeping) on the living room floor, the bath towels were apparently folded and put away wet (they were still wet when we went to use them), there were still coffee grounds in the coffee pot from the previous guests, and the dishes were all in the dishwasher. Departure instructions ask the guests to load and run the dishwasher and start the towels in the washing machine before departing. That being said, the house cleaning service was apparently rushed and didn't do a full cleaning before our arrival. I would recommend a conversation with the cleaning service. Two other items that need attention in the house are the master bath faucets and the main bathroom toilet. The faucets in the master bathroom barely run, as it appears there is build up due to hard water. We understand this as we have hard water at home as well. We had to remove the filter on each to get enough water to brush our teeth, etc. We cleaned the screen on each filter but when replaced the water flow was still just a trickle. So that needs to be addressed. The main bathroom toilet runs constantly when flushed, you have to jiggle the handle or take the lid off and replace the flap in the toilet. We slept great; its a lovely neighborhood, nice and quiet. We would come back for sure, just some adjustments to be made. The concerns listed were not huge, not enough to call on (except for the hot tub) but things to make the next guests experience great!
