Relax. Refresh. Reconnect ~~

We welcome you to Clover's Cottage, where you can relax, refresh, and reconnect with those you love. Located on more than four quiet acres in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, Clover's Cottage is available to rent – for two nights or many nights – you decide how much peaceful respite you seek.

1st Floor -

Clover’s Cottage was converted from an old flax mill built sometime around 1887 and sits along a stream and pond. The first floor boasts a cozy and well-equipped eat-in kitchen, a laundry room, and a convenient half-bathroom. There is also a comfortable and rustic living room with a wood fireplace built from old reclaimed schoolhouse bricks. Because of its origin, the first floor is built from local field stones and has 18' thick walls (no need for air conditioning!) and a counter made from a huge cast metal slab from the original flax grinding equipment.

2nd Floor -

The second floor opens to a small sitting room surrounded by three bedrooms. Each room is decorated in warm earthy tones and local antiques that evoke country charm and a restful atmosphere.

The sitting room has original wide plank floors and is a great place to sit and enjoy a book or and opens to an expansive deck that overlooks the stocked pond. The deck is an expansive 10' X 36' and includes seating and a small bar.

The luxurious and spacious Jack-and-Jill bathroom is nestled BETWEEN two bedrooms, a layout typical of homes of this age (Note that you must go through a bedroom to enter the bathroom). It evokes a feeling of a country spa, with a beautifully restored claw foot soaking tub that allows for complete relaxation. There is also a walk-in shower large enough for two, with a bench and rain shower head. A towel warmer awaits you after bathing, providing the best of modern-day comforts with timeless rustic treasures.

The large primary bedroom offers a queen bed, dresser, closet, and a day bed that can be utilized for lounging or sleeping. A large table at one end of the room allows you to enjoy card games, crafts, or conversation with family and friends. An exterior bedroom door leads to the deck..

The second bedroom has a double bed with a dresser, nightstand, and original wide plank floors. This room also has a closet and an entrance to the bathroom.

The third bedroom has a set of bunk beds with twin mattresses, a dresser, entrance to the bathroom, and original wide plank floors.

All you need for a chill vacation right here. Gorgeous little pond with canoe, creek stomping, yard for dinner and cartwheels, patio for games and champagne. Check out Crossroads Auction on Fridays. Cute ice cream spot up the road. Kids loved it. Great all around!

The property looks just like the pictures except the pond is currently covered in moss/algae. It was a remote and peaceful location in a pretty part of the country.

Perfect getaway for our family

We had a great stay here. The house was clean and has a lot character which my family really appreciates. The property is great for a family that likes to be outside as well. Our kids loved the pond and yard for playing baseball. The host could not have been nicer and was very quick to respond with my questions. Highly recommend!

The perfect getaway

Clover's Cottage is a beautiful pocket of heaven. So peaceful and relaxing. We barely left the property. It was perfect for the whole family. Fishing, canoeing, just taking in the country air. It's the perfect place for a family getaway or a romantic weekend. We can't wait to stay here again.

A true getaway

A VRBO that actually has amenities and feels like a lived-in house. The best part about the cabin was that it is actually remote. Nestled off of a slightly busier road on a private drive. You can get true privacy there. The additional online paperwork at the beginning was the only downside but that's a small price to pay.

What a gem!!!

This is a magical cottage! You can feel the history and love here. I loved every single minute! The kitchen is so cute and stocked with everything you need! It really feels like staying at your family summer house! I appreciated all the labels! Made it easy to find and put things away. The bathroom has radiant floor heat!!! It was quite chilly the week we stayed and we used it all the time!!! The fire pit by the pond was perfect for smores and we cooked steaks on the BBQ most evenings! We even went to Crossroads Market !!! The host was so nice and accessible!!! Put this place on your wish list! You won’t be disappointed!!!! Thanks Tina!

Hidden fees for basic services

The home and property were nice but we were bombarded with numerous rules and regulations. Fines were tied to all of the rules. We were charged $90. for excessive internet usage. We followed the guidelines but were still charged. I attempted to resolve the issue but the owner would not help me. This was so disappointing.

Nice, quiet getaway

Our family loved being able to enjoy the quiet space outside! By mid afternoon the deck was in total shade, so it was a very pleasant space to lounge and listen to the sounds of outdoors. The space outside could use some care, as the grass, pond, and landscaping is quite overgrown. It also wasn't as easy to access the stream or Pine Creek as we thought it would be, but we were able to figure it out. Overall, a pleasant time spent getting away from the normal pace of life.

Great rental!

Rained the whole time and we still had a great stay. Good for getting away from it all - not a ton to do in the area, but the property is large and beautiful and a great location for privacy and respite.

From the moment you come down the lane to Clover’s Cottage, you will begin to breathe more gently, slow your heart rate, and remove yourself fully from the hustle and bustle of your daily life. A closer look may reveal the original working hand well pump where children can have hours of fun. A small dock makes fishing easy and a supply of firewood awaits you in the woodshed ($).

This is only the beginning of what Clover's Cottage has to offer. There are quiet walks down the path to Pine Creek, where you can swim or float, or stick closer to home and listen to nature babble in the little brook right outside the front door. There is a canoe to float on the small pond or a covered footbridge to explore the nearby woods to search for signs of deer, turkeys, and other hidden animals. Pick some blueberries or wild raspberries for your breakfast cereal or take a walk down some of the many miles of country roads surrounding the property.
